~Chapter 12 The School ~

Jake's (POV)

"Mom!! Why can't I walk to school." I said complaining as I looked at her as she drove me to school. "Mom, I could get there in less time than it talks to drive." I said

I think was about to bounce out of my seat to see her and to be her guide. 'Man, I'm like the luckiest guy in the whole damn world, with a lovely mother who brainwashes people to just get her way.' I thought starring at my mother.

If she was human she still would  have been considered pretty. The question that I always had was "Was she human once?" I don't know... I don't think I'll ever get an answer.

"Jake, I was once your age too. So calm down. We're going to take our time to get you to school. Don't I always take my time?" She asked and then laughed I smiled.

"No, not when you're excited." I said which was true, but then a lot of then time she was excited.

"Okay, fine... Son, you win." She said in a joking giving up way we both laughed.

Before we knew it we were at my school. *sarcasm intended*
Nope it really felt like 100 years in that warm car silent car, but I just wanted out... I felt like if it was the car that separated me from Zoe. I had to get out of the car before it kills me... Shit... I can't die. I'm a vampire... Now I wish I was human, just like Zoe. I wouldn't have had to tell her what I was because then I could have been the same thing as her.

"Tell your honey hi from your mummy." She said like if she was talking to a 5 year old just on their first day of school without the parents coming. But I was in 11th grade now and well you could say I had a girlfriend now.

"Yeah, yeah mom. I... I guess I will." I said and rolled my eyes. Man sometimes I just hate her. (Like most teens to their parents.)

"I love you my little vampire." She said in my mind. It still messed me up with what I had to think all the time. But I am her little vampire... Well, I do got her venom in my blood. Its still is weird when I think about it and how it connects us as a family.

"Yep of course mother. Why would you not?" I thought to her. Man I hated her in my head.

I smelled the air. She wasn't here yet. Usually new kids were just blindly walking around for the first 20 or 30 minutes before the first bell. "Maybe she's not like the other new kids." I said in a low tone to myself. A human couldn't pick it up with their ears, but I was alright with it anyway. It wasn't really a secret at all.

"Hey Jakey." Haley said in a sexy tone. She wanted me, but I didn't want her.

"Haley what do you what?" I said in a monotoned voice. She was already pissing me off.

"Jakey? I don't want anything. I want you." She said try to make me fall for it. Well it wasn't working.

"Well, Haley, I don't want you... I have a girlfriend. Okay?" I said pushing my fingers at her chest pushing her off of me.

"Stop making lies Jakey. I know you want me." She said in my ear. Is she drunk? Or is that just the way she acts around everyone? I don't know. I shivered at her hot breath on my skin. It didn't feel right anyway. I once again pushed her away. A little harder this time. I wanted to kill her really bad.

"Haley you can just go get drunk and screw someone else!!" I yelled at her. I hated her. She smelled so horrible. Maybe it wasn't because she wasn't innocent anymore after the age of like 12 if not by the time she turned 15. I shock my head.

She took a step backward like if someone just put a knife straight through her heart. She bit her lip not wanting to cry "But Jakey... But... I... I love you..." She said with a really shaken voice. That's when she broke. She ran her hands flying to her face and sobbing really hard.

"Ya, like all of the other guys who believed you? So you could just get in their pants? Then dump them in like a week? There is a reason for the word slut and whore." I said I couldn't smile, because that would have been just really wrong. So I waited with a frown on my face. I was waiting on Zoe. My mate... My princess for... Well... Life...

But she still wasn't here...
