~Chapter 8 Meeting The Family Part 1~

Jake's (POV)

How could I have known that the whole family was here? I would have never dragged Zoe here in the first place, if I knew.

'My mother must of knew about this.' I thought

'Jake first of all they came on their own timing, without my permission.' My mother said in my mind

'Great now you're in my head mom, get out!!' I thought

'As you wish.' She said and her voice faded. I couldn't get use to reading minds... (Ya reading minds, you didn't know that?) But it was one hell of a ride. A bumpy one in fact. But I have never tried it on Zoe or with anyone else, I hated that power. It made me feel like I had more power over people when I used it, so I never used it.

"Shit" I heard Zoe curse 'Is that her favorite curse word? Maybe.' I thought

"Zoe, what is it?" I said regretting bringing her here in the first place.

"Jake, the whole family... I thought it was only going to be your mother." She said softly

"I thought so too." I said sadly shacking my head "Ready?" I said as I reached for the door.

She shock her head and I grabbed the door handle and opened it.

"Son, you're home." I heard my mother say from about 5 feet away

"Why, am I home earlier than you expected?" I said almost laughing Zoe held on to me afraid "Mom, this is Zoe." I said hugging Zoe.

"Hi Zoe, I'm Janet Jake's mother. Jake's told me a lot about you." She said 'I never told you anything mom, you stole it from my head.' I thought

'Well then keep your thoughts to yourself.' She said

'I do.' I thought

"So Zoe, want to meet the family now?" I heard my mother say in her ear.

"Are they nice?" She whispered in a scared voice

"Oh, no, no, they're nice." My mother said and winked at me walking away with Zoe. I wasn't letting her get 5 feet away from me today, even if that meant I had to break her rule. I knew she wants that rule broken anyway.

"Oh my god mother. Give her back to me." I said through my teeth my mother whispered something in her ear and she back to me throwing her arms around my neck.

"Your mom's weird." She whispered silently

"Ya, I've noticed that." I said kissing her on her forehead as we step in the door way.

Then I looked around, I saw my whole family crowded into one room. Man we do look like a pack of wolfs more than vampires.

Zoe look one look at the room before she backed up into my chest before she mumbled save me. I took a deep breath as I wrapped my hands around her.
