Adri's POV

march 16th 2013

So I let go, I let go of Shawn, of Calum, of everyone. Me and Calum are still "dating" although I haven't heard from him in six days, Shawn is still kissing that little brunette bitch and I'm just done.

I don't want to try anymore, I don't want to hope and pray that something will change in Shawn's mind and he'll come crying back to me. I'm done.

"Bye mom!" I waved her off, my mom was going to my step fathers lake house for a week with all of my siblings and our pet rat.

"Are you sure your gonna be okay?" She asked me from the car. Even if I said no would she unload and then unpack everything from the car? or is she just saying it to be a good mom.

"Yeah! I'll be fine, I have the ice!"

"Okay, baby, bye!!" she said not being able to hold back a smile before she drove away. I took the sling off my "broken" arm and walked back into my house, grabbing my phone off the kitchen counter.

"Hello?" Cara answered. Cara was my sort of friend, all I know about her is she's Calum's ex's friend and she hates him so we bond over that. and that her parents give her money instead of love.

"They're gone, you can pull up" I instructed and next thing I know a black Mercedes is in my driveway.

I smiled at Cara sitting in the drivers seat and rolled my suitcase from behind the door, loading it into her trunk.

This is gonna be fun.

We pulled up to the house in the late evening, the sun was setting and The Weeknd was playing at a high volume through Cara's car windows.

Her friends are coming tonight for a first night party, which has apparently been a thing for a while.

I struggled with my suitcase up the stairs and flopped onto my bed and took out my outfit for tonight which was a tie dye bikini with a black crop top thrown over it and matching jean shorts. I took my newly dyed and short blonde hair out of its long braid leaving it just above my shoulders and incredibly messy. I tried to cover up the bags under my eyes and my puffy cheeks from crying which i hate to say that i did alot of.

"Ready?" Cara walked into my room without warning and I nodded popping a piece of spearmint gum in my mouth.

"Cara!" Female voices called from the driveway as the sound of a engine ended abruptly.

Cara smiled slowly before bringing a hand up to my head.

"Tonight is the night, that you truly forget about him"

We moved up and down, drinks shaking in our black solo cups. A smile grew and stuck on my face the entire night, everything felt okay  which i thought I would never say again.

"One time for my L.A. sisters! One time for my L.A. hoes!" we yelled jumping to the ceiling.

"Adri!" Cara called me, taking a light grasp to my wrist, "come outside, we're taking pictures" She smiled and followed her out to the deck. I sat down next to Vanessa, Rebecca and Naya. we all posed infront of a black polaroid. They eventually got distracted and left before the picture even loaded so Cara and I took our own. She opened her mouth as if she was screaming and I stuck up my middle fingers, we looked like we came out of spring breakers and I didn't hate it.

"Thanks" I smiled at tall blonde boy who was taking our picture. He nodded, smiling back at me before handing over the polaroid and walking away.

"SpringBreak!" Cara shouted at random from the couch. "SpringBreak!" we yelled back in unison.

The rest of the night was happy and hazy and for the first time in weeks, I truly forgot about Shawn.
