As soon as the words left the announcer's mouth, the contenders surged towards the weapons cache in the center. Nate, being the fastest, reached the cache first. He grabbed one of the pre-prepared survival packs, and darted off towards the rock formations on the arctic tundra. Eduardo reached the cache second. He grabbed a large machete and a pair of brass knuckles before running off toward the pine forest section of the snowy arena. Zeth and Cookie reached there at the same time and they both rushed for the tomahawk. Cookie grabbed it first but Zeth punched her in the gut and caused her to drop it. As cookie stumbled backwards, trying to catch her breath, Zeth picked up the tomahawk and slashed down at her torso. Cookie dove away, and the slash missed. But not entirely. The tomahawk opened a large gash on in cookie's leg, revealing tendon and muscle. Before Zeth could finish her off, cookie turned tail and half ran half staggered towards the rock formations. While Zeth and cookie were occupied, Abigail ran up to the cache and stealthily grabbed a set of matching curved daggers and a survival pack before rushing off towards the mountainous region of the arctic stadium. Kelsey didn't even bother going to the cache, she bolted straight off towards the forest region, preferring not to risk confrontation. Matthew made a similar decision, deciding to run off towards mountain region. Vinny reached the cache last. He grabbed a basic survival pack and a coil of rope before heading off for the rock formations. And with that, the first ever Ennis games officially began.
