"Ouch" I said as I looked around. I noticed the dagger and dairy were gone. Did I drop them?
I had we landed in a room with all types of mechanisms and gears. There was a loud ticking sound like a giant clock. Then I realized I was in a clock.
I tried to move around my but my foot was stuck in between two objects. The pain throbbing. I pulled and pulled the pain only got worse. When I finally got out I carefully jumped and ran and dogged all kinds of things, then ran into a door, pain shot up my leg. I curled up into a ball until the pain had decreased. I figured the door in front of me must be the door to get out of this place so I opened it and ran out. Instantly the pain from my ankle was gone.
It wasn't the door to get out it was in fact the door to the outside of the clock tower where I almost fell of the edge. Thanks to my quick thinking, I retreated and reached for the door knob to get back in there, but there was no knob. The door handle was gone. I screamed. I was too scared to pay much attention to my strangely already healed ankle.
I looked at the door. It seemed to have some type of code on it. There were five symbols on one side and five symbols on the other side of the door. I touched one and dragged my finger along to a symbol on the other side, surprisingly it followed my finger. Once it touched the other symbol they began to glow. I continued to figure out the code and in no time I had it solved. Then thankfully the door handle appeared. I opened the door but this time instead of being inside the clock tower I was in a regular bedroom. I walked inside leaving the door open but the wind closed it for me with a loud "thwack" I turned around realizing the door handle was gone yet again, but I didn't really want to go back. I turned back around examining the rest of the room. On the opposite side of the room was a door so I walked over to it only to see that there was no handle.
"Whoever lives here needs to buy some doorknobs" I muttered to myself.
"I wish I was tiny, and then I could just slip underneath the crack in this door." I said, and then the oddest thing happened everything around me became ten times bigger. Or I was ten times smaller. I was just small enough to get underneath the door. I didn't know what happened to me but if I could get out of that room I was all for it. I slipped underneath the door.
"I wish I was bigger now, it's not much fun being only an inch tall."
Then I slowly got bigger and bigger until I was back to my normal height.
That is awesome, a little weird, but mostly awesome. I thought to myself
I walked around until I bumped into a man.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." I said
"There you are we have been looking for you ever since you got out of test B." He replied. "Please follow me."
I followed the man into an office where he sat down and gestured me to sit as well.
"I planed for you to take another test, but I believe I have enough information, so let's get right down to business. I would like you to join my Training Institute, where you will learn all kind of different skills that will be valuable in life.
"Thanks for the offer but I just want to find my neighbor Ryan and get out of here."
"Ryan Gert?"
"Yah, have you seen him?"
"I have indeed, and I'm afraid that the only way you will be able to see him is if you join the institute because Ryan has in fact joined."
"Oh course he has" I muttered to myself.
I really didn't want to join the camp, but it seemed like the only way to find Ryan. Unless I leave him here. I thought
"I'll join your camp thing if it means I'll find Ryan."
"Splendid, just be by my office tomorrow at 10:30. Does that work?"
"I'll be there. Now if you'll excuse me." I said as I left his office and found my way outside. Where I found Ryan sitting on a park bench snoring.
"Ryan" I yelled as I ran over to him.
I shook him furiously and he woke up.
"Syd?" He said "Is that you?"
"Don't call me Syd but yes it's me, now get up and help me figure out how to get home. My Mom and Dad must be worried sick."
"Sure after I get some sleep and go to this training institute thing tomorrow." he said getting comfortable again.
"Why did you sign up for that silly thing anyway?"
"I thought it would be fun."
"You are not going."
"You're not my Mom and you're just jealous because you can't go."
"No, actually I'm not because I got signed up too. I knew you were going to the institute and I needed to find you so we could find a way to get home so I signed up hoping to be able to find you."
"You missed me how sweet."
"Ha ha very funny, stop joking around. I guess we can sleep here tonight since it's getting late, but first thing tomorrow we are finding a way home."
"What ever" he said as he started snoring again.
"That didn't sound very reassuring" I said to myself as I lay down on the park bench across from Ryan. I couldn't fall asleep though. There was so much going on. I wanted to be home tucked in my soft bed with Ryan shipped off to Australia were I'd never see him again, and everything would be just as it should be. A tear escaped from my eye. I knew Ryan wouldn't help me find a way home. He would go to the Training Institute and he would some how convince me to come with him and we would never get home. These things kept bouncing around in my head but finally sleep over came me and I dreamt of home.
