I was surrounded on all sides. The other team mates had come back and weren't going to let me get away with their glow ball. The only other way to go would be up or down.
    Up.
Suddenly I had an idea. I tucked the glow ball in the small pouch around my waist. There was a low branch that looked strong enough to hold me. I jumped and grabbed onto it. Then I pulled myself up on to it. I was still Technically in the circle.
I climbed up higher and higher into the tree until the leaves covered me so that I could not be seen from the ground. I made my way over to the edge of the tree branch and taking a deep breath I jumped onto another branch from the next tree. The branch swayed a little but I managed to stay on. My heart pounding I continued to do this until I was well out of the way of the people guarding the circle. I made my way to solid ground but pain shot through my leg and for a moment I just lay there on the ground. I realized I must have landed on it funny and sprained or twisted or done something to it. I wanted to scream out in pain but I knew that the other team couldn't have been far behind me. Then not only would I lose the glow ball but I'd be out of the game.
I got up and tried to use my ankle but I quickly sat down again in pain. I knew I needed to move somewhere or find a team mate.
I had an idea to wish for the pain to be gone. Quietly I said "I wish the pain in my ankle was gone."
When nothing happened I said again and again "I wish the pain in my ankle was gone." This time a little louder. I wondered if it was just the wish. I thought of something random and said "I wish I had a bowl of ice cream." And there was good news and bad new. The good news was that my gift was working again and that I now had a delicious bowl of ice cream. The bad news was that I had wasted my wish for the hour. I heard the crunching of leaves in the distance, someone was coming, and I was sure to be caught if I didn't create a diversion. My territory was just over the hill but I'd never make it there before whoever was coming caught up to me.
My mind raced for ideas. I thought of creating a hologram to run the other way but last time I did that I passed out. Finally I decided to do it anyway.
I closed my eyes and blocked out any noise or distractions and concentrated in a picture of me holding a glow ball.
I nearly passed out right then a there but when I opened my eyes there I was. The hologram of me ran towards the other girl and I heard a few taser shots.
I hobbled as fast as I could up the hill and to our territory. As I crossed the line I collapsed. My world was spinning. I realized I still needed to get the glow ball back to our circle for it to count and other people from other teams could still come to our territory and shoot me. I continued to limp back to the circle. I had to bite my lip from crying. I could taste the salty blood. The pain was almost over whelming. My vision kept blurring and darkening.
When I finally saw the circle I cried out to Isaac who was placing a glow ball in our bag. He turned around and ran towards me.
    "Are you okay?"
I was laying on the ground and he help me to a sitting position. His hand on my back supporting me.
"Are you okay?" He asked again, his brow creased, he looked worried.
It was nice to know that the person who makes your heart skip a beat, and create butterflies in your stomach, and makes you go tongue twisted, cares about you. For just a moment I forgot about my crazy spinning world and the sharp pain in my ankle and smiled looking at him. But then that moment was over and the pain rushed back.
"Not really" I said finally answering his question.
"We have to get you to the nurse. I usually carry some cruacion fruit with me but I'm afraid I'm all out."
I love the way he talks
    "What's cruacion fruit?"
"Cruacion is Spanish for healing. I guess it just makes it sound cool. There are different types of cruacion for different wounds, like a broken bone, or a cut, or concussion. You eat it and you will be relieved of most of the pain within ten minutes and within an hour your wound should be mostly healed. Everyone is supposed to carry it at all times. We need to get you to the nurse. Where's that help button on these tasers."
"Wait I worked really hard to get this glow ball back here, and I intend for it to count. Put this in the bag with the other balls." I said handing him the ball
    "But..."
"Now" I hope I didn't sound to reprimanding
He got up and walked over to the circle, put the ball into the bag and walked back over to me. He stopped mid crouch and shot at a bush. A boy jumped away from the bush missing Isaac's shot. They both shot at the same time Isaac hit the boy and the boys shot hit Isaac's taser. He dropped the smoking taser with a shriek.
    "You okay?" I asked
"Yah, I'm fine can't say the same about my taser though. Do you mind if I use yours since your going to the nurse anyway?"
"Not at all" I reached for my pocket, were I had put it since it wasn't being used, but my pocket was empty. I inhaled sharply which hurt my head and made the edges of my eyes go dark for a moment. I wish someone would have shot me with a taser before I experienced all this pain. I kept expecting it to get better but it didn't. If anything it got worse. "I'm really sorry but I think it slipped out of my pocket when I was crawling over here."
"Oh, that's fine. We'll have to find Aubrey or Ryan-"
"Ryan!" I said cutting him off
    "What?"
    "We're bonded!"
    "What?"
"It really confusing and I'll tell you the whole thing later but for now just to sum it up, if one of us is in pain the other will be too."
    "What?"
"Instead of finding Aubrey or Ryan we could just use his." I said pointing to the boy Isaac had shot
"Oh right I knew that." He said his face turning pink. He walked over to the boy and looked for his taser which he found underneath him. "Looks like we'll have to find Aubrey anyway" he said "The tasers help button broke from the pressure of his body."
There was a moment of silence and then Isaac came over and reached out his hand. I starred at it for a moment and then grabbed it realizing he was offering to help me up.
He hesitated then put his arm around me to support me walking. I put the tiniest bit of pressure on it and fell to the ground again in pain, tears wetting my cheeks.
"I have broken multiple bones before and it never hurt this bad."
"But have you ever broken your ankle?"
"Twice" I said with a straight face.
He didn't reply to that "How about I go find Aubrey and you stay here"
    "That sounds great" I said
I watched him until he disappeared into the night.
I relaxed my body and closed my eyes. Until now I had forgotten about home but now as I lay here I could think about nothing else. I was going to get my ankle healed and then I was going to find a way to get home. I'll miss Aubrey and...Isaac. But I want to be back home. If I was at some summer camp where my parents had sent me I wouldn't be so freaked out but I have no idea where I am. I feel like I'm living a fairy tale. A very blurry fairy tale I thought as my vision blurred out and I lost consciousness.
