John's POV
When I finally woke up it was about IQ:BT in the morning. Gotta love Saturdays. I sat up and rubbed my eyes and stretched before putting my glasses on my face. It was actually 10:37 in the morning. I slid off of my bed and walked to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth, got a shower, put on clothes, and didn't even attempt to do anything to my hair. Vriska's party was going to start at 5:00 pm so I had plenty of time to get ready later. I had a teensy tiny crush on her. Well, a bit bigger than teensy tiny... Anyway, I really hope Dave can make some more friends. He's really cool and I don't see how he doesn't have more friends. I'm kind of surprised that he doesn't have a girlfriend already. He's pretty good looking so it wouldn't be hard for him to find someone. Maybe he's trying to keep a long-distance relationship with someone in Texas.
I went in the kitchen and made myself a bowl of cereal. Sure there was cake but good heavens I just want a goddamn meal around here that isn't cake ! I ate my cereal and then went back to my room. It was now 11:23, and I figured I could try to talk to some of my friends. The only people online were Dave and Jade. Vriska was probably setting up for the party and Rose was probably watching movies or something with her girlfriend, Kanaya. I talked to Jade first.

GG: do you know if dave is single??
EB: i'm actually not sure.
EB: i can ask, if you want.
GG: okay...
GG: dont tell him i have a crush on him though :p
EB: you got it!

EB: no problem.
GG: wait hes going to vriskas party right?
EB: yep!
GG: yay!!! :D
GG: ill see you guys at the party then!!
EB: okay. see you then!
GG: bye!!

TG: parties arent my thing bro
TG: besides you jade and rose will be the only people ill know there
TG: and out of the three i know you the best
TG: and i still dont know you that well
EB: okay, but you can meet new people!
TG: yeah im really shitty at doing that
EB: yeah, but you can try!
TG: sure
EB: you might even find a girlfriend :p
TG: nah man i dont think so
EB: why not?
TG: its hard to explain
EB: are you not single?
TG: i am but
TG: just

EB: okay, well i think you will find someone :p
TG: yeah yeah sure
EB: : )

TG: i got games to play and tracks to make

Okay so Dave actually is single. I'll make sure to tell Jade at the party. Since I had nothing better to do, I decided to practice on my piano.

I got ready for Vriska's party by actually attempting to comb my hair. My hair didn't really change much but it looks a tad neater. I walked to the front door, calling a goodbye to my dad, while he called a stay safe back. I walked the few blocks to Vriska's house and saw that a few people were already there. I walked in and found Vriska in the kitchen, talking to Jade. I hugged them both and Jade and I walked into the living room while Vriska continued to greet guests showing up.
"Hey so I talked to Dave," I started.
"Really ? What did you find out ?"
"Well good news is, he doesn't have a girlfriend. However, he did seem a bit apprehensive when I told him he might meet a girl here."
"Well at least he's single, right."
"Yep. I wish you luck."
"Thanks !" She stood up and went to go eat some of the snacks Vriska had on the kitchen counter. I got up and grabbed some Pepsi from the fridge. I sat back down on the couch as I sipped on the fizzy drink. As more people came in, I kept an eye out for Dave. After a bit he walked into the living room. I waved and patted the spot on the couch next to me. He walked over and sat down.
"Sup, Egderp."
"Hi, Dave."
"I can't believe you got me to go to this thing."
"Well, the fun hasn't started, yet ! There's going to be music and people and dancing and maybe some games. I don't know exactly, but it's going to fun !"
"Yeah, sure."
"Oh come on, Dave. I know you'll enjoy yourself. Rose won't be here, she's having a date with Kanaya, but Jade is here !"
"Cool."
"I'm going to go talk to Vriska. You should go hang out with Jade."
"Okay." He stood up and headed towards the kitchen as I made my way over to Vriska. She was plugging her iPod into the speakers.
"Hey Vriska !"
"Oh hey, John. I'm just trying to get the music hooked up." Right as she said that, the music started playing through the speakers. "Finally. Took long enough." I had planned to tell her how I felt about her at some point during the party, but I wasn't sure if I should do it now or later. I figured I would just wait a bit and then tell her. I went to the kitchen to get some food.
After eating some chips and talking to some people in the kitchen, I decided it was time to tell Vriska how I felt. If I didn't do it now, then I would most likely end up backing out of it and not telling her at all. I found her on the couch talking to one of her friends.
"Hey Vriska, can I talk to you for a minute ?"
"Sure." We walked to a little pocket in the living room that wasn't crowded with people. "What's up ?"
"Um... I just- I wanted to know if- if you might want to go out sometime ?" Oh God.
"Sure, what do you have in mind ?"
"I don't know... a cliche movie, or something."
"Sure, sounds fun ! We can go next weekend, maybe."
"Okay !"
She laughed a bit. "Alright, its a date." She kissed my cheek and then went back to go talk to her friend. I cannot believe that I actually have a date with Vriska. Out of all the things that could've gone wrong, everything went right and she agreed to go. Hopefully Jade is having some of this good luck with Dave.
Vriska freaking Serket agreed to a date with me.
