On the speed-skating track, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Sunny Flare, and Lemon Zest were continuing to race each other.
"Canterlot has only two laps to go, but it looks like Crystal Prep is making up for lost time!" Cadence announced.
Sunny Flare and Lemon Zest raced passed Rarity and Pinkie Pie, and Lemon Zest unknowingly hit Twilight's device off the track. Twilight ran towards it, wanting to get it before anyone else found it.
Some magic from the device was opening up rifts that released a carnivorous plant from Equestria. Twilight tried dodging the plant and getting her device.

Rarity and Pinkie Pie were still behind Sunny Flare and Lemon Zest. They decided to assist each other by having Rarity push Pinkie Pie faster with her leg. They were successful, as Pinkie Pie managed to skate in front of the girls and complete the required eight laps just before they did the same.
"What a finish!" Cadence shouted as Photo Finnish took a picture of the moment.
This now meant it was time for Sunset, Rainbow Dash, Sugarcoat, and Indigo Zap to race each other on the motocross track.
Twilight tried to grab her device to close it, but a plant wrapped around her leg and pulled her away. Twilight screamed, trying to break free.
"Awesome!" Rainbow Dash shouted as she was racing on her bike.
Suddenly, another rift opened up on the track and it released another carnivorous plant from Equestria, much to everyone's shock. Rainbow Dash managed to dodge the plant, however.

Sunset and Sugarcoat weren't so lucky. Both girls were knocked off their bikes by the plant, while Indigo Zap raced on top of the plant and then jumped in front of Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash saw that Sunset was in trouble and stopped her bike. She turned herself around and saved Sunset before she could be eaten by one of the vines.
"Dash, you saved me!" Sunset exclaimed gratefully.
"I wasn't about to let my friend become plant food," Rainbow Dash replied.
Once she said that, a blue glow surrounded her, and Rainbow Dash grew pony ears, wings, and a long ponytail. She ponied up.

Cinch saw this and glared at Celestia, who pretending she had no idea what was going on.
"We can still win this!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. Sunset drove Rainbow Dash's bike while Rainbow Dash flew using her wings.
Meanwhile, Twilight was still having some problems with the vines as well. She struggled to loosen one of the plant's grip on her feet while Spike tried biting one of the plants to make it leave.
Indigo Zap was still racing but was stopped by a plant. She fell off her bike and was almost eaten when Rainbow Dash tried fending off the carnivorous vine.

Indigo Zap saw Sunset get ahead of her and quickly got back on her bike and headed towards the finish line.
One of the plants tried to attack the two girls but Rainbow Dash managed to push that one out of they way before it could.
Sunset and Indigo Zap raced to the finish line. Both girls were really close, but Sunset managed to beat Indigo Zap.
"Canterlot wins!" Cadence shouted.
The Canterlot students cheered while the Crystal Prep students did not. Cinch also didn't seem too happy about what had just happened.
"Attention students, please proceed to the gym," Cadence announced.
Twilight was finally successful in grabbing her device. Once she did that, she immediately closed it, which sealed the rifts and made the vines disappear.

Twilight stared at her device and started to realize how dangerous it really was.
