Silly Little Imperfections

you told me what you
thought of yourself,
how you thought you
weren't pretty.
how you thought your
hair was always messy,
and how dull your eyes were.
how corny your laugh was,
and how every move you
made was uncoordinated.
if only you could see yourself
the way i do,
then you'd be able to see
how much you're augmenting
your imperfections,
these silly little things
about you that somehow
made you believe you were
everything but
perfect.
