Murasakibara Atsushi's POV
With the game being stopped so suddenly, I took it as an opportunity to nibble on a chocolate bar but just as I popped it in my mouth, I could sense the atmosphere becoming tense.
"Quit basketball." Mizu-chin's daddy, I think said.
"But-"
"Quit or you are transferring to another school."
I turned around and a grim look replaced my usual bored one, intrigued by the weird conversation.
"No! You should let Mizu do whatever she want! desu..." Aomine shouted, unable to control himself and struggling to be polite.
"And you are?" The daddy didn't seem at all frightened by Mine-chin's outburst.
"Ehh..." Mine-chin stuttered but Aka-chin cut him off before he could make a fool of himself.
"Konichiwa, Mizushima-san. I am Akashi Seijuro and a regular on the basketball team. Sorry for my teammate's stupidity but I think you should let your daughter continue playing basketball. She has very high potential and talent for it." Aka-chin smiled and the hair on my back stood up, understanding that it wasn't a friendly smile.
"You have some manners at least but no, I am her father and I make decisions for her." Mizu-chin's daddy said, unnerved by Aka-chin's creepy smile.
"Otto-san... Why? Why are you here?" Mizu-chin fixed her shirt, looking down on the floor.
"I heard you only got 2nd in the exams?" Mizu-chin's eyes widened with fear as the words came out of her daddy's mouth.
"I see. We have to keep a close watch on you don't we?"
Mizu-chin shook her head. "N-no. It's fine. Thank you for your concern."
"I've found you the best tutors of each subjects including, language, math, history, science, religions, politics, literature, art, music, sport, dance, philosophy and technology. You shall follow my schedule and you mustn't have any unfinished homework."
All of our jaws dropped to the floor as we heard the long list of subjects. Except Aka-chin but he looked kind of upset.
"Hai." Mizu-chin nodded, her hands clenched into fists, her whole body shaking from anger and fear.
"You shouldn't force her nanodayo." Mido-chin stood up for her while pushing the bridge of his glasses.
Mizu-chin's daddy just simply looked at him. "Ano, Mizushima-san really likes basketball." A monotonous voice came from nowhere, scaring the daylight out of everybody. Even the daddy jumped back from shock as a small hand tugged at his suit. It was none other than Kuro-chin. Mizu-chin's daddy, pushed Kuro-chin away, causing him to stumble backwards and fall.
Mine-chin looked like he was about to pounce onto the man but I got to him first. Because of my height, I towered over him and placed a hand in front of his face. "Ne~ I'm going to crush you~" I mumbled. Mizu-chin's dad stared at me as if I was crazy but inched backwards as we all closed in around him like hungry beasts.
"Ano. Otto-san, if I go to all those classes, can I continue with basketball?" Mizu-chin's interrupted us before we could murder her daddy.
"I'll think about it. I'll check your progress and if I'm satisfied, you may start playing but for now, just stay as the manager." Her daddy seemed to be deep in thought.
I decided that I don't like Mizu-chin's daddy.
