After some days they reached the capital, the busiest trading place and the Royal headquarters of Menidia.

Her heart longed to meet Cyrus.

Artunis accommodated Amitis in his palace and he informed that she could be called to meet the king at any time and he asked her to be prepared for it.

It seemed like a command from Artunis which increased her nervousness to the peak.

She wished to see Cyrus to estimate about the situations prevailing about their matter.

She waited for the day to meet the great king with confusion in her mind about the happenings then.

The very next day she was informed that she has been called to the Palace to meet the King.

Amitis was frozen and she searched for his brother.

But she found that he had been to the Royal palace already and there were soldiers from the Royal palace to take her there then.

She changed to the attire which has been sent to her from the royal palace.

She felt herself as a princess after wearing that attire since the attire itself made her to sense that it was a costly one.

She went to the palace with the soldiers and after some time she entered in to the palace. A soldier escorted her and her eyes kept on searching for Artunis and Cyrus but she found none.

The soldier left after leaving her in front of the great king who was sitting with his body guard standing beside him at the royal court.

On the very second of seeing the Great king, Amitis knelt down and hailed him bowing her head.

The king asked her to rise up and he smiled at her.

Amitis got goose bumps when she saw the great king smiling at her and she lowered her gaze as a mark of respect.

The great king started to speak in his majestic voice, "I'm feeling happy for my son who had selected a better person for his life more than that a better person to add feathers to the glory of Menidia. I gifted Pairidaeza to your father Ochus as a mark of appreciation to his dedicated duty. And I wish to gift the daughter of Ochus to my son as a mark of appreciation for conquering the Yudush. I accepted his wish since I knew that my son's decisions would be always right like mine."

Amitis stood still like a statue.

At once Xerxes came down from the throne. He came near Amitis and blessed her.

Amitis stood at the court alone and at the very next second after the king left.

She heard the footsteps reaching her from behind and when she looked at that direction she saw Cyrus who has been approaching her with a smile.

She smiled at him and at once he dragged her towards the other exit of the court, which took them inside the Royal chambers.

She was confused since he was walking faster and he never uttered anything as the reason for his reaction.

Finally they reached a huge room. He locked the room after entering and he hugged her as if there was a competition for tight hugs.

Both of them giggled like children. He saw her eyes twinkling with happiness.

He admired her attire and he complemented her that she was looking like a Princess in it. And from Cyrus, Amitis came to know that he was the one who arranged for the attire especially for her to wear on her first meeting with the king.
