His eyes kept on searching for her, after cheering up the soldiers he rushed outside the palace.
The commanders as well as the warriors were busy in celebrating and imprisoning the surrendered warriors of Yudush.
On his way outside the palace, Smerdis and Cassander met Cyrus and Smerdis told that the forest was blazing and the fire has been spreading to the entire forest at the border due to the increased wind flow.
He also told that he had sent out some warriors to monitor the situation and to control the fire preventing it's spreading in to the capital.
Cassander suggested that it was well and good for the warriors to stay back at the palace and he asked permission from Cyrus to set up a room for him in that palace.
Cyrus nodded his head and Smerdis and Cassander started to give out the orders to warriors.
Arses had already been outside the palace with the warriors to maintain the law and order at the capital. He send the warriors around the capital to announce that the Yudush people were banned to come out of their homes until they get back the order. They also announced that the offenders would be punished with a death penalty.
Cyrus rushed outside the palace, his heart beat raised thinking about Amitis, since he knew that she was wounded and then there was a chance for her to be caught in to the forest fire if she was trying to get back to Pairidaeza.
The remaining warriors who were back at the camp near the border had already entered in to the kingdom as they were instructed to do so, when Smerdis and Cassander noticed the fire in forest at first during the battle.
Cyrus went near Arsama.
On seeing Cyrus it neighed and it seemed that it was trying to gesture something.
Cyrus rushed near it and asked, "Did you see her?"
It neighed again and nodded its head, He pat its head and climbed on it.
Two soldiers tried to accompany him but he stopped them and ordered them to help Arses.
Arsama started to rush like a wind towards the Forest in the North West direction from the Yudush palace; Cyrus realized that his guess was correct as it was the direction of Pairidaeza.
Arsama entered the forest and Cyrus noticed the forest fire rushing towards their direction.
Within a few seconds, Cyrus noticed the grey horse walking at a distance with Amitis in armor suit on it.
It seemed the Amitis was about to fall off from her horse.
Cyrus rushed to her and when she was about to fall, he embraced her with his right arm and transferred her on Arsama within a fraction of seconds.
When she came in his hand he found her in unconscious state.
His left arms grasped her closer to him. By the time her helmet fell on the ground and her long hair unfolded. He removed the black cloth and his eyes finally saw her angelic face.
Her head rested on his chest. He noticed her bleeding shoulders when he found blood stain in his left hand as it was clasping her left shoulder. He pressed the wound with the flag of Menidia which was with him to stop the bleeding from the wound on her shoulders (it was the first aid to stop bleeding by pressing the wound with a cloth)
At that instant the increasing smoke alarmed him that the forest fire was near.
He ordered Arsama to return to the palace. Arsama neighed and started to the palace.
It seemed that Arsama neighed to inform Pirus (her grey horse) to follow him.
Arsama raced like a storm towards the palace followed by Pirus. Cyrus noticed the advancing forest fire towards their direction.
And finally when they came out of the forest it was dark already and when Cyrus looked back at the forest he saw the violently blazing forest which has been completely covered with fire.
Arsama hurried and after some time they reached the palace. As Arsama was too fast and as it was dark, the soldiers was unable to notice Amitis in the arms of Cyrus. The warriors didn't stopped Pirus as it was riding next to Cyrus.
Cyrus was very particular on hiding Amitis from being exposed so he covered her face again with the black and he drove Arsama to the horse stable followed by Pirus. As the warriors were aware of Arsama's reaction if they touch it, they maintained distance from it as usual. He hid her in the horse stable between Arsama and Pirus.
He rushed in to the palace since he was in a hurry to make a plan to transfer Amitis from the horse stable to a better place.
He was stressed as he was worried as there was a chance for someone to find her out at the horse stable. But his heart consoled him making him to realize that Amitis would be safe as the untied Arsama was in charge of protecting her along with Pirus.
At that instant, Smerdis came to him and took him to a room at the first floor of the palace and informed him that it was the room which they had prepared for him to stay.
Though Smerdis had thought that Cyrus had been with Arses till then, he never asked him anything.
And Smerdis left to inspect and ensure the perfect protection of the palace.
Cyrus entered the room and rushed to the balcony and he found that the horse stable could be viewed from there.
After some time, Cyrus went to the horse stable and lifted Amitis in his arms. He advanced towards his room step by step by hiding Amitis every now and then to clear the warriors on the way ordering them to do various tasks.
Finally he reached his room with her and he laid her on his bed which was at the end of a huge room.
Cyrus came outside of the room and he commanded the warrior to bring the chief physician to him immediately. After ordering he went back in to the room swiftly locked it up again.
The warrior who had returned in front of the room after completing the task given by Cyrus a few seconds before rushed to bring the Physician.
Cyrus went near Amitis, he removed the black cloth from her face.
He removed her armor suit and found her wearing the attire of man.
He found a deep wound through the torn attire on her shoulder.
He sat beside her and kept on looking at her face; he soaked a cloth in water and started to clean up the wound on her shoulder and arms.
At once he heard the knocking sound at the door, he rushed to the door and he locked it behind.
As the Physician was the chief,Cyrus started his conversation casually asking about the treatment he has been giving to the wounded soldiers.
Finally he understood the procedure to treat deep wounds and he asked the physician to send the medicines immediately to him.
The physician send the best of the best of all medicines to him immediately then, as he thought that Cyrus was asking to inspect it.
As soon as the medicine arrived on his door step, Cyrus rushed to the door as usual and received the medicines through the half opened door.
He started his treatment to her wounds.
He never allowed anyone even to look in to the room.
When the warrior brought him the royal food , he refused to have it and he asked the warrior to bring food which was prescribed by the physicians, for the wounded warriors to eat.
Knowing that Cyrus asked for the medicated food and drink, which was prescribed for the wounded warriors to eat, Smerdis who was in charge of the palace rushed to him.
Cyrus replied him saying he wished to eat it until he feels to eat the royal food.
Smerdis left accepting his order.
After finishing the treatment he sat beside her caressing her head.
After some time Amitis opened her eyes.
