#12 THE MEMORABLE JOURNEY

With curious eyes  and smiling lips Amitis stood before him.

Her eyes told him that she was eager to know the result of the speech then.

But his heart wanted his hands to wrap her and his lips to kiss her madly.

His mind was excited since it has decided that Amitis was a blessing in his life.

He smiled at her and said, "You know the speech really went well and because of you I feel like I'm in the top of the world"

In Cyrus POV the phrase 'I feel like I'm in the top of the world' described the feeling in his heart because of his love on her.

But she understood it as the expression of his happiness regarding the success of his speech.

She bowed and replied, "I'm very happy for you, you're Majesty."

He neither wanted her to bow nor to use the highly official words to address him. Since he felt those attitudes of her had been creating a distance between them. But he stood quiet since he felt that saying such kind of things would be making her to mistake him.

He smiled at her and he explained the whole thing which happened after the speech.

Amitis felt happy and satisfied as she had done her duty by helping Cyrus again.

By the time Cyrus has been battling in his mind regarding the challenge which he made on proposing her.

He kept on postponing the moment to propose her.

He spent the whole day on discussing stuffs about her skills and also about Yudush.

She kept on explaining his questions since she felt that he was asking it to get a better idea to administrate Yudush.

But in his point of view he asked those questions to make her talk with him.

He loved the moments which he spent with her but at the end of the day he realized that he had failed to propose her.

And his mind kept on scolding him for cheating it.

The next day when Cyrus opened the door to receive the food from a soldier,the soldier informed Cyrus about the subsided forest fires at the border.

When Cyrus returned to Amitis after receiving the food, he saw her face expressing spellbound happiness.

But this time he was unable to be happy on seeing her smiling face since her smile told him that she had heard everything which the soldier had informed him then and Cyrus knew the question which she was about to ask to him. He knew that she will be hiding  even the pain of her wound from him to return to her home. And he decided to do take her to her home as per her wish.

Cyrus replied, "Tonight I will be taking you to home."

Amitis giggled like a child and smiling at her Cyrus went outside asking her to eat the food.

He felt distressed since he didn't want her to leave him but at the same time he never wanted her to feel confined under his control.

He walked around the palace like insane. He didn't want the day to pass since he had promised her that he would be taking her to home that night.

He forgot to eat. He went to Arsama and opened up everything in his heart. Arsama nickered as if it had understood his feelings.

Pirus who stood on the other side of Cyrus, kept its chin on his shoulder and it seemed that Pirus was happy on knowing Cyrus was in love with Amitis.
