J - What's With People Staring Nowadays?

I just finished my class with the grade 8. Now I have the grade 10 students. They're patiently and quietly waiting for me. It's odd and cool that they totally love me. Not to be too boastful, but I'm a loveable man. I do hear some students talk about me, saying that I'm good-looking, that I'm nice, that I'm cool. I smile everytime I hear their silent compliments. I'm glad that they like me.

I walked into their neat classroom and they happily greeted me. I smiled and greeted them back.

"Happy to see me, huh?" I teased.

"Why not, sir? Do you question your own charm?" their president said.

"Maybe." I said. They sat and waited for the lesson to begin. I asked them to read a story entitled "Loving Jerry". The story is about puppy love. The whole class participated. We're talking about love after all. I asked them if they experienced puppy love. Almost everybody said yes. I'm not surprised. They're all too young. I told them about my experience of puppy love. The girls all stared at me like I was the last food on earth. They're hungry for info about my lovelife. I immediately remembered Czerina and our conversation. I felt a smile tug at my lips. I looked at my students and remembered that I have to tell them my story.

"I experienced my puppy love when I was in high school. She was really a sweet gal. Nice green eyes and long black hair. Like a cat." I said and they laughed a little. "She was really mesmerizing. I loved looking at her beautiful face and I couldn't help getting jealous whenever other guys approach her. As much as it was a happy experience, it was also sad. She ended up being with my best friend."

The girls were quiet for a second before Alisha, one of the girls asked for the girl's name.

"Catherine." I waited for them to finish their reactions. I spoke again."My story's not done yet. After my college years, I saw her again and she told me that she and my best friend broke up years ago. I still remember that day." I said as a huge grin plastered itself on my face. "She looked so beautiful. So radiant. I also couldn't help smiling that day. On that day, I knew that I had a chance. From that day on, everything went nicely in our relationship."

The girls nodded. When I felt that they've calmed down, I gave them seatworks. I walked around the room to monitor their work. I stood at the back and they all worked quietly. I looked outside the room and saw the other rooms. Mr. Montez, the science teacher, taught at the grade 9 class. Mr. Meade taught at the grade 11 class. As I looked at their class, I caught a student staring at our class.

It's Czerina.

I've been seeing her all morning. Hopefully, not all day. It's starting to get weird, really. During recess, I heard her friend tell her to make her move. To make her move on whom? Me? After that, I had a weird conversation with her. Last week, she stared at me and I spilled my lovelife to her. And now . . . she's staring at me. Again. When I caught her, she immediately looked away and pretended to focus on their lesson. I smiled despite her weirdness. I was still looking at her. She caught me smiling. She smiled back. I walked away from the window to avoid being looked or stared at.
