I walked into school with my cup of coffee and James at my side. He held my hand with his signature smile that made everyone else smile, only because..how can you not smile back? His smile is great.

By the time the sun set that first night at the hospital everyone knew what happened with me and Jessica. The stares weren't so appealing, but it wasn't the first time I've gotten them.

"Relax." He told me.

"I am."

We both knew that was a lie. Let me break it down what happened with the whole Jessica thing.

Basically, my dad pressed charges. We went to court and I was out of school for quite awhile now that I think about it. She was sentence her time in juvenile hall since she was seventeen which I found hard to believe then my dad had a talk with James.

He told him the basic, "take care of her" and "break her heart I break your face," type of thing. James was laughing by the end of it, but held it till they had parted ways.

Back to school, the first period bell rang and I wasn't excited yet I definitely wanted to get out of the hall. People scare me. I don't like people, it's not like I have a phobia or anything it's just..everyone including James is annoying.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked me.

"How annoying you are."

"Funny, now what are you thinking?"

"I was literally thinking about how annoying you and everyone is." I laughed.

"Your laugh is annoying!" He smiled.

"I know."

I have the worst laugh known to man.

(A/N I really do.)

The first bell rang and we went to our classes.

"Amanda, good to have you back." My teacher smiled at me.

"Thank you." I nodded and sat down.

Class was quiet for the first half then the rest everyone turned to one another and talked about the work or something from their personal lives. I did the rest of my assignment so I wouldn't have to worry about it later.

I felt my phone vibrate in my sweater pocket and sat up straight. No one was paying attention so I just went ahead and looked at my phone.

James: Go to the bathroom.

I put my phone back in my pocket and walked to the teachers desk, I asked and they handed me a pass.

I went towards the nearest girls bathroom and went inside. I looked in the mirror and sighed walking back outside, James was waiting in front of the door.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey, how is class." He hugged me.

"Normal, why?" I asked.

"Just checking in on ya'. " he shrugged.

"Well thank you for caring." I kissed his cheek.

He smiled looking down at the floor with a slight tint of pink in his cheeks. This made me smile because no matter how hard he tried to hide it, James was the biggest softie I've ever met. There was no hiding the fact that he didn't care, it was impossible for him to go an hour without texting me "are you okay?" There isn't a lot of people like him now a days and i'm grateful that he's all mine.

"I have been out for too long, they'll make assumptions." I told him.

"No!" He dragged the word out, whining softly.

"Don't be a baby." I said in this weird voice that I only use on babies.

"Stop!" He whined pulling me into his chest then pushing us into the wall.

He kissed my neck softly, like he was taking all of me in. It was odd for him to do this in the hallway of our school, but at the moment none of us cared.

"Have I ever told you that I love you." He said.

He loves me? I couldn't reply, I felt like this is too fast.

"No, you don't."

"I do, I really fucking do." He started to bounce on his feet.

"James?" I looked at him with a big smile.

I couldn't help it, I think- I know I love James.

"I'm gonna tell everyone! You wait, I will prove to you that you are my world Amanda Green!" He started to run back to class, hitting himself in the shoulder in the process.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

He glared at the corner of the wall rubbing his shoulder , then gave me a thumbs up. He ran back to me and pushed me against the wall kissing me with full force.  It left me breathless,  he pulled away with one last peck then smiled running away.

I couldn't get rid of my smile.
