"What's the answer to number three?" James asked from under me.

He was laying on his stomach with his math book in front of him. His pencil was being twirled in his hand with his index and middle finger , his homework on the text book in front of him.

I was laying on top of him, my back against his. Our feet some-what tangled together and I was reading James book, The Great Gatsby. My head was against his head, I turned to one side when he turned his head another.

"One." I smiled.

It's been three days and things have been great. James told his mom the second day and I had been teased by Sarah and Jessica about it as well.

Sarah, is getting better but she is on a lot of medication so whenever I see her she's asleep. Her mom shows me pictures and videos of Sarah when she was awake and I been working extra at the cafe since Sarah's mom was taking such a long time off from her job.

"Amanda, you're good for the night!" The manager Trevor yelled from behind the bar.

"Cool, see you tomorrow!" I smiled and went into the bathroom.

I slipped into James sweater then gathered my things ready to go. I searched for James and found him sitting at our regular table.

We walked quietly towards my house, he looked around-something he does when he's nervous. I tried to ignore it and keep moving, but I couldn't stay quiet.

"James, what's wrong?" I asked quietly.

"What makes you think somethings wrong?" He replied walking a bit faster.

"Your walking speed is increasing rapidly and you can't even look at me." I tried to catch up to him.

"Sorry." He slowed down.

"Now, what's troubling you." I smiled and rubbed his arm soothingly.

"Back home- in Palo Alto.. my dad lives there and we haven't heard from him in a while." He explained.

"That's understandable. When's the last time you two talked?" I asked, slowly leaning into him.

He wrapped his arm around me and let out a loud breath. "Probably a couple days ago-but he calls every day!!"

"Maybe he'a been busy? Or he has some better reason then mine was." I tried to make things better.

"I know, but I just worry." He looked down.

I stopped walking and stood in front of him, I lightly tapped his chin so he could look me in the eye. When brown met hazel I smiled which made him smile sheepishly.

"Everything's gonna be okay." I promised.

"I believe you." He hugged me.
