I had to go home when the sun set so James walked me home and didn't let me leave till the sun was completely gone and no one was around. I looked at him with sorrow and gave him a kiss, he sighed and hugged me tightly.

Little did he know what I had planned to do.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He says with one last kiss.

"Mhm." I mumbled.

I watched him walk away, waited for a few more minutes, then went into my apartment. My dad was on the couch with papers in his hands, he looked up at me from his glasses and frowned.

"Where were you?" He asked.

"Out." I replied.

"I won't take any of this sass!" He took his glasses off.

"I'm not sassing." I grabbed a water from the fridge.

"Look Amanda, I work way to hard for you to be going out and never coming home. I get worried-"

"You get worried?!" I shouted, "I cook my own meals, I clean the house, I take myself to school, I go to school and get the grades you want yet still don't get credit for trying. I hate the fact that you're not even home half of the time yet have the audacity to tell me that you're worried!"

"I will not be talked to in that type of way!" He shouted back.

I felt the tear form in my eyes, but tried not to cry. I hate getting yelled at even as a kid, it's something i'm not comfortable with. I flinch when someone raises their voice. It's always been that way yet I can scream at people, it's ridiculous really. I'm such a hypocrite.

"Why are you crying? You're such a baby." He muttered.

"Don't yell at me." I whispered.

"Get out." He groaned.

"What?" I questioned standing up.

"I said get out! Get the hell out of here!" He grabbed my bag and threw it towards the door.

I grabbed my stuff and ran out of the house. I couldn't stop myself from crying even if I wanted too. My chest started to hurt and I felt my shoulders shaking from how harsh I was crying.

Why would he throw me out like that? I know i'm not perfect, but anything would be better than this. Sarah is gone, i'm a burden to James family, I have no where to go.

The Coffee House.

I checked my phone and noticed it was low battery. I sighed and started walking a sob escaping my lips every now and then. I called Sarah's mom because she was there for me when no one else was.

"Hello dear." She smiled at me.

We haven't really talked since Sarah died, I gave her a big hug and cried into her arms.

"I miss her so much!" I wailed.

"I do too." She sniffled.

The night ended like that, I slept on the couch. Sarah's brother came and checked on me every now and then , but it was always the same. I pretended I was asleep till I actually fell asleep and woke up to Sarah's mom shaking me.

"Your dad is here." She said.

I groaned and gave her a hug thanking her. She told me if I needed anything to always come to her, like she always had said.

"I was going crazy looking for you." My dad said when we were in the car driving.

"You told me to leave." I felt the tears come.

"I know and I shouldn't have done that." He admitted.

We stayed quiet for the rest of the ride, we got food and went to his house. I honestly don't want to call it home, why should I?

James was sitting in front of the door when we got there. He let out a breath of relief when he saw me, he walked to me ignoring my dad and gave me a hug.

"You should have came to me!" Was the first thing he said.

"Burden." I replied.

"Never." He pulled away and kissed my forehead.

"Always. Plus, Sarah's mom is the only thing I have left of her. Besides her family of course who I love just as much as I love her."

"I know you miss her, trust me I know the feeling. We'll get through this together and when your dad called and said what he said I freaked out. He did good coming to me first even though I had the slightest idea of where you were."

"I should have told you. I'm sorry."

"Amanda." My dad called.

"Call me." He pleaded.

"Of course."

"Right now! Do it right now." He yelled.

I took my phone out and waved it.

"Call me!" He said walking slowly towards the elevator.

I pressed the call button and watched his face light up when it said my name. He smiled and waved, he waited till I was at my door and ran to me giving a long a thoughtful kiss.

"Love ya." He smiled and ran to the elevator.

Did he say he loved me?
