Day 4
"You completely disregarded my trust!" Mis Genevieve paced back and forth.
The four of us sat in Miss Genevieve's office in our pajamas at two in the morning.
"And you! Kira! Two strikes in one day!" She stopped in front of Kira.
"Technically two days, it's after midnight." Cameron looked up.
"Silence!" Mis Genevieve snapped her head at Cameron. Cameron put her head down.
"Miss Genevieve you can't blame them it was my idea! They didn't want to go, I forced them!" I spoke without thinking. I just made friends at this place, I wasn't about to loose them.
"If that is true Lucy, I am very disappointed in you. It's your fourth day in and you are already breaking major rules."
"Ok Miss Genevieve, get to the good part, what's the punishment?" Kira looked up at her.
"All of you have lost Blue Birds for a week. That means two for you Kira. Lights will go out at nine for you for a week as well."
"You will learn and follow the rules here. Do I make myself clear?" She asked sternly.
"Yes." We all replied in a groggy unison.
"That was very dangerous. I thought you were intruders when you were down with the newborns. Now, go back to your rooms, you are dismissed."
We shuffled out of her office quietly.
But something caught my mind.
"Miss Genevieve, how did you know we were with the newborns?" I asked before leaving her room.
"I heard you." She replied almost immediately.
"How? Your bedroom is up here on the top floor?" I asked again.
"On my monitors sweetheart. Now go get some sleep." She escorted me out and closed the door behind me.
"Something doesn't add up." I thought while walking with the others down the hall to the elevator.
"Why? She saw us on her monitors." Vivian pressed the button to open the elevator door.
"Yeah but I don't remember seeing any cameras." I finished staring at Miss Genevieve's office door as the elevator closed in front of me.
~•~
We walked back to Viv and Cameron's room.
Cameron's side of the room was retro music central. Her wall was covered in deferent records. That was her wall a pattern of records glued to the wall. On the wall of records there were four shelves with, you guessed it, records. This time they were all in their cases. Her sheet was black with names of bands written in white arranged in a pattern. With four pillows at the head of the bed and a black music note throw pillow. He nightstand was black with a white lamp. Atop the nightstand was a vintage working record player and a picture frame with her family in it.
Vivian's side looked like a room from Beauty and the Beast. Her wallpaper was a page from Harry Potter. She had four shelves identical to Cameron's with books. The first shelf labeled 'fantasy', the second 'realistic fiction', the third 'novels', and the fourth 'favorites'. Her bed was opposite of Cameron's. It was white with book titles written in black in a pattern. Four black pillows at the head with a Deathly Hallows throw pillow. Her nights and was white with a black lamp, photo of her family, and the book she was currently reading.
Their room had the same desk against the wall spectating the sides with two chairs and two computers, and closets at the foot of the beds, like our room.
"Nice room." I looked around in amazement.
"Thanks." Cameron and Viv replied in unison. Then looking at each other in confusion and annoyance, then brushing it off like it happened normally.
