Day 5

"Please Vivian!" I begged.

"I'm not giving you the card Lucy. Just forget about it." Vivian ignored my pleads. I wanted the key to the room in the library and Vivian refused to give it to me.

"I'll never ask you for anything else."

"No."

"I'll clean your room."

"No."

"I'll give you all my Blue Birds."

She thought about it, "No."

"Come on Viv!" I face planted into her bed in defeat.

"Why do you even want it?" She hung her book bag on a hook in her closet.

My reply was muffled into the pillow my face was in.

"I can't understand you." She crossed her arms.

"I said I want it because the door is locked." I sat up annoyed.

"Why do you want to get in?" She sat on Cameron's bed across from me.

"I want to find out who my parents are after." I replied justly.

"No Lucy. You can't." She sighed.

"Why not! That's exactly why I want to get out of here! I'm tired of people making decisions for me!" I stood up and yelled. Vivian winced.

"Because...you don't want to know." She wouldn't look me in the eye.

"What are you guys not telling me!" I couldn't control myself. I was screaming at the top of my lungs and starting to scare Vivian.

"What's going on in here? We can hear you down the hall!" Kira came in with Cameron.

"Did you fold a page in one of Vivian's books?" Cameron looked at me.

"Lucy wants to get in the room at the library." Vivian stood and joined the others.

"You can't Lucy." Kira came closer.

"What's going on?!" I slammed my hands at my sides.

"We just can't tell you." Cameron replied.

"Fine. I'll get in myself." I pushed past them.

"Lucy no!" Cameron's hands looped around my right arm.

"Get off!" I tried to shake her off but she held on. Kira grabbed my left arm and they pulled me back in the room.

"Stop!" I fought back the best I could.

But everyone was against me.

"Lucy calm down." Vivian stood in front of me.

It all happened so fast, I pushed her out of my way. I had to leave that room. She flew to the side and into the closet door crashing to the ground.

I ran.

Ran to get out of that room.

Ran to get out of this place.

Ran to get out if my own head.

I just ran.

It felt like the day I was taken here. Running as fast as I could meanwhile knowing there is no where I could go.

I was trapped.

Everything was hid from me and everything was a secret.

I collapsed into a couch in the lounge and caught my breath. It was about 8:50 at night and the lounge was empty. I gazed out the window at the birds and the trees and everything outside. They were all free.
