Chapter 16

I let out a muffled scream and started squirming to escape the rocks that covered me.

"Emily!" I heard Lewis shout with relief. I felt some of the weight shift off of me and started to claw at the stones that imprisoned me.

In a couple of seconds a bit of light leaked in. The rocks collapsed around me as I struggled to sit up. The blanket of rocks shifted off and I saw a worried Alexis and a relieved Lewis looking down at me.

"You're okay!" Alexis shouted pulling me in for an embrace. I hugged her back for a second before pulling back.

"Thanks guys! I probably would have suffocated if you hadn't tried to dig me up!" I laughed, giving Lewis a quick hug before he could react. I noticed Alexis' face dropped for a second, but she quickly recovered

"Hey you would have done it for me," she smiled. I turned back to Lewis and giggled when I noticed how badly he was blushing.

"Yeah,"he muttered looking at the ground in order to hide his red face.

"Now I don't know about you guys, but I think this place could use a few more torches!" I said with a goofy grin.

Lewis smiled and started searching his inventory. "So why didn't you scream before? We could have gotten you out faster!" He said handing me pork and a couple of torches.

The memories of the... Experience were still fresh in my mind. "Uhhhh I was worried I would get those disgusting rocks in my mouth," I said with a fake smile.

Lewis and Alexis raised their eyebrows. "Has she always been this bad of a liar?" Lewis asked Alexis

"Yup" Alexis responded, popping the p. I stuck my tongue out at both of them.

"Come on let's get going," I laughed. "And this time lets watch out for anymore monsters!"

Lewis gave a small chuckle before starting down the rest of the hallway, Alexis and I trailing behind him.
