The hot sun shone throughout the badgers' den. The female badger was rummaging through her herbs. "It's not here." She muttered. "I need it." "Something bad is happening." She said. The male badger came lumbering through the entrance. "What is it that you need?" He asked. The female badger replied, "A special herb." "I must go find it." She said. "It will happen soon." She muttered again. She started to walk towards the entrance, but the male badger blocked her way. "You can't go out." "You are too close to giving birth." He said. "I need to find the herb." "A kits life is in danger." She replied. "I'll go with you just in case" the male badger said. "Let's go now." the female badger said. Together they walked through the forest to find the special herb.
