As the cats kept walking, the forest thinned out and they soon came to a moor. Icestorm's eyes lit up. "We are almost there!" She couldn't wait to be back to her sweet Rockkit. "What's that over there?" Nettleclaw pointed her tail to two dark shapes on the moor. Icestorm squinted her eyes. "I think they're badgers." All of a sudden, a humongous badger came bounding along the moor toward the cats. The cats were frozen with fear. "Scatter!" Screeched Nettleclaw. The cats ran around in circles around the badger. But then the badger lashed out at Night and the blow sent Night rolling across the moor. "Night!" Screeched Sal. Sal ran towards Night faster than any of the clan cats had ever seen her run. Then, another badger appeared with two little badgers. "There's more!" Screeched Leafpool. "Everyone!" "Run over to Sal and Night!" Called Shadowmoon. The cats did as they were told. The four badgers stalked towards the cats but then one badger broke away from the group and stood in front of the larger badger. "Leave them alone Twilight!" Growled the badger. "Get out of my way Midnight!" "They are trying to hurt our babies!" Twilight growled back. "No they aren't Twilight!" "They are here for a special herb!" Said Midnight.
