"Let's camp here for now." Mewed Night as he pointed towards an open space near a tree. The cats nodded in agreement. One by one the cats settled down except for Nettleclaw. "I found some moss!" She dropped some moss beside each cat. "Here you go." Nettleclaw nudged some moss over to Icestorm. "Thank you Nettleclaw." Icestorm dipped her head to Nettleclaw. "Looks like we didn't get to the sun-drown place before moon-high." Said Shadowmoon as she looked at the dark sky. "In the morning we will continue to the sun-drown place." Meowed Night. "I needed some rest." "I just couldn't take another paw-step." "I understand." Mewed Shadowmoon. The cats settled down into their makeshift nests.
Icestorm woke up to find everyone awake but her. Nettleclaw padded over to her. "Would you like a mouse?" "Yes please, Nettleclaw." Nettleclaw dropped the mouse at Icestorm's feet. Icestorm ate her mouse quickly. She was ready to get to the sun-drown place and back to her sweet, little Rockkit. As Icestorm began to walk to her friends, a scent hit her nose. "Fox!" Yowled Leafpool. Leafpool was face to face with a bristling fox. Icestorm crept up behind Leafpool and jumped onto the fox. She hooked her claws into the foxes' back. The fox tried to shake her off, but she just dug her claws in more. The fox howled in agony. Shadowmoon lashed out at the foxes' nose. Blood spattered the ground. Icestorm jumped off of the fox and swiped at it's head, catching an eye. "Get lost you mangy, old dirtbag!" Screeched Icestorm. The fox howled once more and ran off into the brambles.
