Chapter 12: Alleys and Thunderpaths

"Sal!" "Sal where are you?" Called Icestorm. "I'm over here!" Mewed Sal. Icestorm padded towards a huge oak tree. "Sal?" "Yes?" "I'm sorry for yelling at you." "I was just so hungry and I was worried about Rockkit." Icestorm looked at the ground. "It's alright, dear." "I forgive you." Icestorm looked at Sal happily. "Will you show us the way to the sun-drown place now?" "Oh yes!" "Let's get back to my camp." Icestorm and Sal walked back to the twoleg house. "Nettleclaw!" "Shadowmoon!" "Leafpool!" "It's time to go to the sun-drown place!" "We're over here!" Called Leafpool. Icestorm and Sal walked over to where Leafpool and Night were sitting. "I just finished giving Night the herbs." "He should be feeling better soon." "Oh thank you darling!" Mewed Sal as she rubbed against Leafpool. "I'll go get Shadowmoon and Nettleclaw." Leafpool hurried off to find them. "Sal and Night, thank you so much for letting us stay here." Icestorm dipped her head to the elderly cats. "Your welcome." Rumbled Night. "Night, would you like to travel with us?" Sal leaned against Night. "I'll come Sal." "I'm already feeling better." Leafpool appeared with Shadowmoon and Nettleclaw. "Are we ready?" Asked Leafpool. "We are." Answered Icestorm. The six cats walked out of the old twoleg house and into an alley. "I hope there are no dogs." Meowed Nettleclaw nervously. "Dogs don't ever come back here." Said Sal. "We'll be fine." The four clanmates followed Sal and Night. The cats approached a small, dusty thunderpath. Sal and Night stepped onto the thunderpath with no hesitation. "Sal!" "Night!" "You didn't check for monsters!"  Sal and Night looked back at the four clan cats. "No monsters ever come this way." "Come, or we won't get to the sun-drown place before moon high." Rasped Night. The four clanmates followed Sal and Night onto the small thunderpath.
