Kenma Kozume: Games

A/n yeah, the game I'm using for this is Dragonvale, cuz it's the only game I know stuff about...
It was lunch break and you were sitting next to your buddy Kenma. Kenma was playing a game on his phone (as always) while you ate lunch. You heard him sigh so you asked him, "What's wrong?"
"I can't seem to get the peridot dragon." He replied.
"Oh, so you're playing Dragonvale?" You asked.
He nodded his head while trying to decide which dragons to breed in the breeding island.
"Here, lemme help you out." You looked over Kenma's shoulder, "The dragons you should breed should be the Cactus and the Crystal dragon. That's what worked for me anyway. The higher their level, the better chance you have to get it."
Kenma then fed both dragons 'til they were both level 15. He then went to the breeding island and bred the two. He checked how long the breeding time was and found it to be the same time it takes for a peridot dragon to incubate.
"Now you just have to hope for the best." You said.
"How long have you been playing this game, (y/n)?" Asked Kenma.
"Oh, for a while now, like, years." You said sheepishly.
Kenma's eyes widened slightly, "Years?!" He thought, "I've only been playing this for a few months!"

After a bit of silence, he decided to ask you something, "Since you've played this for a while, what level are you on?"

You then thought for a moment, you really didn't pay attention to the level you were on, but the last time you did check, you were on level 32, but then again that was a long time ago, so it could be even higher.

"Well, Kenma, I really don't know. The last time I checked I was level 32, but then again that was a long time ago..."

Soon enough you guys actually got into a conversation. You were enjoying it, of course, because conversations with Kenma are extremely rare. You guys were really getting into the conversation, but, little did you know that a certain bed head was sneaking around the corner.

"Oya oya oya? What's this? Kenma's talking to a girl?" questioned Kuroo.

You squeaked and turned around to see a smirking Kuroo. Kenma looked up from his phone to look at Kuroo.

"Kuroo!" you said, "You scared me!"

Laughter was all that you guys could hear that came from Kuroo.

"I just came over here to talk to Kenma, until I saw you and him having a conversation. So, what was it about?" asked Kuroo.

"She was just giving me tips for the game I'm playing, now go away. She was just telling me about some of the coolest looking Epic dragons." responded Kenma.

Kuroo pretended to look hurt, "So mean, Kenma!" he whined, "Oh well, I'll leave you two love birds back to whatever you guys were doing, bye!" He then winked at Kenma and walked away.

"Love birds?!"  you thought to yourself with a blush.

Kenma then looked at you and noticed your blush, he was blushing a little too, since Kuroo called you guys love birds, but his phone was hiding it from being seen.

"Ignore him, (y/n), he was just teasing, we can talk about the 'love birds' thing later." said Kenma.

You were running what Kenma just said through your head a few times. "...can talk about the 'love birds thing later."  Your blush then deepened a bit more. "Could that mean... He likes me?"  You thought for a moment, it could go both ways. He could either tell you that you are just a friend to him or that he wants to be more than friends. Of course, for the time that you guys have been together as friends, you developed a crush on the boy, but you would never tell him. Why? Probably because he values his video games more than you or whatever and you are shy when it comes to those types of things. It was then the bell interrupted you from your thoughts. "I'll just think about it later."

~Time skip~

It was the end of the school day and you were headed towards the gym to watch the boys' volleyball practice. On the way there, you ran into someone.

"S-sorry." you said, not looking up at the person.

"Oh, (y/n)?" said the person.

You immediately recognized the person's voice as Kenma's, so you looked up to see that it was him.

"O-oh hi Kenma." you greeted.

"Follow me. I have something to tell you," said Kenma.

Your heart raced. Then you followed him to wherever he was going. He then led you to a tree. He stood underneath the tree and you stood in front of him. He looked at you and your (e/c) eyes, he then opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Taking a deep breath, he looked at you. With a blushing face, he began to confess.

"(y/n), I've known you for quite a while now, and y-you have been always there for me. Y-you would always help me with games that I don't understand or that I have trouble with. But there is one game that I can't win right now, n-not without you. This big game of life (A/n no, not the actual game, I'm talking about real life) is one that I d-don't quite understand, but with you by my side, I know we would win, together. So, be my girlfriend (y/n)?"

You gasped and blushed. "He actually confessed?"  you thought,"And it was a sweet one too!"  So many thoughts were racing through your head, which left you unresponsive. Kenma's expression then turned into a sad one, since you didn't respond.

"It was a long shot..." mumbled Kenma.

He then started to walk away. Snapping back into reality, you ran to Kenma.

"Kenma wait!" you called out.

As soon as you caught up to him, you tripped. Shutting your eyes, he turned around and you collided into him. The both of you fell to the ground with Kenma under you. Opening your eyes slowly, you realized you were kissing Kenma. And, just to make things worse, guess who's back?

"Oya oya oya? What's this? Kenma got his first kiss?" questioned Kuroo.

A flash of white light hit both of you. You broke the kiss to look up and see Kuroo with his phone out. Getting out of the awkward position you and Kenma were in, you pointed at Kuroo.

"You better delete that!" you shouted, standing up.

"Not if you can catch meeeeeee~!" Kuroo shouted back.

He then started to run away.

"Whatever, I would never be able to catch him." you grumbled.

Looking at Kenma, you began to speak "About that question earlier..."

Kenma then looked at you with hopeful eyes.

You drew in a breath and said "Yes, my answer is yes."
