Tsukishima Kei: Play Practice

(A/n The play in this is gonna be The Lion King, cuz that's what my school's doing. Also, while I was backstage, one of my friends helped inspire this.)

(b/n) = boy name

(g/n) = girl name

"Hey Tsukki!" you said while hovering above him.

He didn't respond.

"Hey Kei!" you tried again.

And he didn't respond... again.

"Hey Shimaicchi!" you sat next to Tsukki.

Tsukki flinched and sighed, "I told you to stop calling me that..." he mumbled.

Both of you were in the classroom during lunch break. Today you had play practice, and you really wanted Tsukki to watch. So here you are, asking him about it.

"Could you watch me at play practice today?" you asked him.

"Can't, have volleyball practice." he responded quickly.

"How about when you're done? We're running the whole play today so I bet you'll get the chance to see me perform!" you said excitedly.

He didn't respond.

"Please?"

He still didn't respond.

"Please Tsukki?" you asked.

And again, he didn't respond.

"Shimaicchi~!" you whined while shaking him slightly.

He just growled and looked at you, "No, and that's my final answer."

"Awwwww!" you whined while getting up, "So mean, Tsukki!"

You then walked away over to a group of your friends, who were also in the play, and talked to them. Tsukki just watched you and sighed.

"She is such a child..." he thought disapprovingly.

Time skip to after school

Numerous times already, you looked out at seats in the auditorium and Tsukki wasn't there. Scene 12 was starting and that was one of your big scenes. Actually this was only one out of two scenes you were in because you were Rafiki. You sighed and rested your head on the hockey stick that you had. (Why you ask? It's supposed to be Rafiki's staff but you guys were practicing so yeah.) You were holding it upside down. Yamaguchi was one of the backstage crew and watched your actions. He didn't approach you just yet, for he had to to something real quick.

"Hey, what's wrong?" asked (b/n).

You snapped out of your thoughts and looked at (b/n) who was Simba in the play.

"Oh, nothing..." you replied.

He gave you a suspicious look, but you were saved, for he had to go onstage. (g/n) was onstage too and the director was talking to them about blocking tips. You sighed again. To make things worse, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" started playing. (b/n) and (g/n) started to do some cute, romantic actions. You looked at them with jealousy, but mostly, sadness. Yamaguchi then approached you.

"Hey (y/n)."

You turned to look at him with sadness in your eyes, "What?"

"Do you have a crush on Tsukki?"

You looked back at the stage, "Does it matter?"

"You know he cares for you, right?"

You looked at him, a little irritated, "If he did care for me, he would show the slightest bit of kindness towards me."

Yamaguchi sighed, "He really does care for you (y/n), he may not show it, but he does." Yamaguchi then looked back towards the other backstage crew people, "I gotta go (y/n), but think about it."

Your eyes widened a bit and you blushed. You then smiled to yourself, "He did let me get to know him... Usually he wouldn't let people into his world like that..." you said to no one in particular.

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" continued playing and gave you a spark of hope. The run-through of scenes went smoothly. You rocked your scene and you could tell that everyone was just as excited as you were during the scene. Unbeknownst to you, a certain someone was watching you in the doorway, hidden in the shadows. He smiled, no not smirked, to himself as he watched you.

"Your character fits you perfectly (y/n)," he thought, "Childish yet serious..."

Time skip to After Practice

"Heh, Yeah! Thanks (b/n)!" you called out while running out of the auditorium with Yamaguchi.

"That was amazing (y/n)!" cried Yamaguchi, "You totally rocked the stage!"

You looked at Yamaguchi and made a peace sign and put it over your eye, "Well, Rafiki, is my character, so I gotta act like him!"

"Seriously, you are an amazing actor and singer!"

You lightly punched Yamaguchi on the arm, "Awww! Thanks!"

You guys talked for a bit while walking in the halls. Yamaguchi suddenly cut off from what he was saying when someone approached you. Getting closer, you and Yamaguchi began to recognize who the figure was.

"Tsukki!" cried Yamaguchi as he ran to him.

You just looked to the side, just about ready to run away from him. If he was all done with volleyball practice, why didn't he come to watch you?

Deciding to leave the scene, and leaving the boys to their bromance, you called out Yamaguchi, "Hey, I'm gonna go on ahead ok? See you tomorrow!"

You turned on your heel and began to run until Tsukki said, "Wait."

You turned back around, irritated, "What Trashyshima?"

"You're a pretty good singer..."

You were shocked, "Wait, he actually watched?"  you thought, "He must've been watching through the doorway..." You mentally face palmed yourself, "Seriously (y/n)?! You looked at all the seats but you didn't look towards the doorway! And, wait, did he just compliment me?"

"Your character fits you perfectly (y/n)," he continued, "childish, yet serious."

You looked at him and smiled. You then ran towards him and gave him a hug. He flinched but he didn't push you away.

"You're such a tsundere, Shimaicchi~." you teased.

He just sighed and looked down at you, "So when's the real performance?"

"The 28th." you responded.

He thought about it a little and then he responded, "I'll think about it..."

You looked up at him and made the cutest face you could, "Please come?"

He looked away, "Fine, but if something comes up, don't get depressed because I wasn't able watch."

"Ok Shimaicchi~." you hummed happily.

Yamaguchi just stood back and watched you two, "Aww! Tsukki finally found someone..."
