Oikawa Tooru: Sing Me a Lullaby?

You were trying to sleep, but Oikawa kept tossing and turning. You could tell he was getting frustrated because he couldn't sleep. He groaned a little and finally gave up. You turned over to see him and began to speak.

"Can't sleep?" you asked him.

"Yeah..." he mumbled.

There was a silence between the two of you.

Oikawa decided to speak, "(y/n)?"

You hummed in response.

"Could you sing me a lullaby?" asked Oikawa.

You blushed a little and looked away, "No, I can't. You know I don't have a good voice Tooru..."

"Don't be modest, (y/n)! You got a great voice! Please? For me?"

You looked back at Oikawa, who was giving you puppy eyes. You gave in and sat up.

"Fine. Come here, (y/n)'s got you."

Oikawa scooted over and laid his head on your lap. You brushed some of his hair away from his face and began to massage his forehead. You then began to sing.

"Fly me to the moon~... Let me play among the stars~..."

You looked down at Oikawa who had a sleepy look in his eyes. He smiled at you to continue.

"Let me see what spring is like on~ Jupiter and Mars~..."

You were getting into the song more, and you felt as if you could hear the accompaniment music in the background.

"In other words, hold my hand. In other words, baby, kiss me.

Fill my heart with song and let me sing for ever more~...

You are all I long for...

All I worship and adore~...

In other words, I love you~."

You looked down at Oikawa again, and, this time, you could see he was barely keeping awake. You knew this song by heart and hummed the interlude while looking down at him. Once the interlude was done you looked out at the moon through the window and began to sing again.

"Fill my heart with song~...

Let me sing- for ever more~...

All I worship and adore~...

In other words, please be true~...

You looked down at Oikawa who was now sleeping. You smiled at his sleeping face and you bent down and whisper-sang into his ear the last three words of the song.

I~...

Love~...

You!"

You sat up straight and saw Oikawa smiling in his sleep. You smiled again and kissed his forehead. You then held his face in your hands. After holding him for a bit, you scooted him over back to his spot on the bed and you got back into your sleeping position. You pulled the blanket over you and him. You turned over to Oikawa and hugged his sleeping figure. You gave him a peck on the cheek and whispered into his ear again.

"I love you, Tooru."

He hugged you back and mumbled, "Love... You... Too... Bae..."

You giggled at his sleepy state and laid your head on his chest. You fell asleep in the comfort and warmness of his embrace and with the moonlight illuminating the room, giving it a magical and relaxing ambience.

A/n the song used is "In Other Words" or otherwise known as "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra. Found this idea cute and decided to write a shorter story for you guys ;3.
