chapter vi | disappointment

JACK'S POV

"How long is your flight going to be? I can't believe you're going to be here soon!" I said happily into Alex's phone.

"I know, and I think it's like four hours, something like that. I have to stop and get on a different plane in Nebraska." she informed me.

"I'm so excited! It's been two weeks! Way to long!" I said happily.

"Jack, let the poor girl get her flight. She can text you." Rian smiled as he sat down on my couch. All the guys had came to mine because I would be bringing Liz back when she got here.

Alex walked out of the kitchen, "I think I'm going to head to my house and freshen up." he said casually.

"What, want to look good for Liz?" Zack teased him. I rolled my eyes.

Alex had been so excited about Liz coming, almost more than I was. They talked all the time and I didn't like it. I didn't want her to get hurt by him.

"No, I just don't want to look so scruffy." he grabbed his keys and looked at me.

"What?" I laughed.

"You have my phone, Jack." he chuckled.

"Oh! Sorry Liz. I forgot your were there." I said to her.

"It's alright. But my flights boarding, so I have to go. See you guys soon. Tell the guys I love them, bye!" 

She hung up and I tossed Alex his phone, "See ya later." he yelled as he left.

I decided I needed a shower so I went upstairs and jumped in trying everything to get my mind off Alex and Liz and the romance I refused to believe was growing.

ELIZABETH'S POV

It had been a week sense that stupid dream with Alex and the guys were off tour and I was going to see them.

As I stood in the airport, freshly off the phone with Jack, I couldn't help but get nervous. Going back to Baltimore was something I didn't think I'd have to do, but I was so over excited about see the guys that I said yes on the spot, not thinking it through.

I knew it would bring back a lot of memories, and I knew Jack would want to go see his parents. It would all rush back and I didn't want to deal with it. But I wanted to see the guys and I guess I could only push my past away for so long.

As I boarded the plane the memories of Baltimore with Jack filled my mind. It was hard to think about and I blinked back tears.

I pulled out my phone to see Alex had texted me.

From: Alex
I'm really excited to see you! It's going to be great. It's been forever. xx 

I smiled and texted a quick reply.

To: Alex
I know, I miss you. And the guys. See you soon! <3

I put my headphones in and let myself fall asleep to my music. 

I was shocked awake when the airplane came to a hault and we landed in Nebraska. I gathered my stuff and made my way to the pick up for bags.

I knew I had 30 minutes till my flight boarded so I made my way to a starbucks to sit and wait.

"What would you like?" the lady asked sweetly. "Just a mocha frappe please." I smiled.

She made my drink and handed it too me and I quickly paid before taking myself to a booth and sitting down.

I glanced through twitter and saw Jack had tweeted.
