xvi | i was sick of it

ALEX'S POV

Time flew by fast to say the least. I spent every moment talking to Liz after she said she was coming up. I was so excited I couldn't even put it into words.

"Jack I have some stuff to do and I need the house free when I get back." I said, walking from the kitchen into my living room where Jack sat on the couch.

"What are you doing?" he asked casually, flipping through the tv.

"I'm going to pick up a girl. I wanted to spend some time alone so please don't come over." I begged. It wasn't really a lie, I did want time alone with Liz.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?" he pouted.

"She's not a girlfriend. Yet." I smiled. Not another lie, I was maybe planning on asking Liz out if it felt right.

"When do I get to meet her?" he smiled brightly.

"Three days." Not another lie, Liz was going to surprise Jack in three days on his birthday.

"Enough questions man, get out. I need to go." I chucked as Jack reluctantly got off the couch and followed me out the door to his own car.

"See you later then." he waved as I got in my car and he got in his.

And that was that, I was off to go pick up Liz.

ELIZABETH'S POV

The past month had been amazing, Alex and I had grown super close again and I honestly loved it. He always cheered me up.

As fun as the past month had been, it had also been quick, I saw Josh a few times at random events when he was in the area and he was lovely, as always. 

As the plane landed I couldn't help but get excited about seeing Alex. I hadn't seen him in a month and I really just wanted to hug him.

As I grabbed my suitcase I started nervously looking for Alex. 

ALEX'S POV

My lips spread in a smile as I looked at the short, black haired girl looking around the airport. Her lips lifted into a smile, matching my own, when she saw me and she broke out in a sprint.

She collided with my chest but I picked her up swiftly and spun her around. "I missed you so much Lex." she said into the crook of my neck.

"I missed you too Liz." I smiled as I hugged her even tighter.

"Lex, your squishing me." she giggled.

I blushed slightly and sat her down, taking her bag from her right away. She pouted and I just shook my head before grabbing her hand and pulling her with me to my car.

"So what do we do first?" she asked, piling into my car.

"I don't know, just relax. I'm sure your jet lagged and tired." I said as I turned down the exit of the airport.

"A little, not really, I'm just really excited." she bit her lip slightly and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Really that excited to see me?" I teased her.

"Of course. You're my favorite!" she smiled brightly and started messing with the radio before she found a channel she liked. It was some pop station and to be honest I was totally okay with it.

"I LOVE THIS SONG!" she squealed as the new Miley Cyrus single blared through my speakers. 

"Dude, me too!" I smiled. It was true, I did like it.

"SO LA DA DA DA DEE, WE LIKE TO PARTY." she sang loudly.

"DANCIN WITH MOLLY, DOIN WHATEVER WE WANNT." I joined her, singing crazily.

She started giggling and I started laughing as we pulled into my driveway.

"YAY A BED!" she jumped out of the car and hurried inside.

I followed her and bit my lip, "About that." I said awkwardly rubbing my neck.

She scrunched her eyebrows, "I turned my spare room into a music room. So you're staying in mine. I can sleep on the couch if you want." I bit my lip and silently hoped I wouldn't have to sleep on the couch.

She chucked, "I'm not going too kick you out of your own bed." 

I sighed in relief, "Good because that couch is not comfy at all."

She chuckled and hurried upstairs, "Which room is yours?" she smiled. I pointed to the door at the end and she ran in excited and jumped on the bed.

"We should watch movies and cuddle." she said as she wrapped herself in my white blanket.

"What movies?" I asked questioningly. Trying to hide the overjoy in my voice.

"A Lord of The Rings Marathon!" she yelled happily.

I nodded my head, "Sounds fair. I have them downstairs, I'll get them."

"Hey Lex?" she asked.

"Yeah?" I said, turning around.

"Will you make popcorn?" she asked hopefully.

"Duh." I smiled and turned down the hall.

ELIZABETH'S POV

I was so mad at myself. Alex was downstairs making popcorn and I was changing into my pajamas when I realized, I hadn't packed any. How dumb was I? 

I glanced at his closet and shook my head. No way was I going to wear one of his shirts. No fucking way! That crosses a line. I couldn't just go through his clothes. I wasn't like that.

ALEX'S POV

I walked upstairs holding four dvd's and a bowl of popcorn, smiling. I was going to spend the entire night watching good movies and cuddled up with Liz. It was something I was surely happy about. 

I walked in only too smile even more when I saw her biting her lip and wearing my Raven's jersey. 

"I know it's yours but my dumb self forgot pajamas and this is the biggest clothing item you own so I figured it would cover me, I'm sorry." she said nervously.

"You look good. It's no big deal." I shrugged. But it was a big deal. This beautiful woman went from making me happy about spending the night curled up with her to thinking dirty seeing her in that damn jersey. 

Her hair was wavy and kind of messy and just flowed over the shoulders and the jersey hung loosely on her and I swear I could have just ripped it off her right there.

She coughed awkwardly, "Are you going to put the movie?" she giggled.

I blushed lightly since I was clearly caught staring at her and put the movie in. I changed into a pair of batman pajama pants, not feeling awkwardly since she had saw me in boxer briefs before, and kept a shirt on before crawling into bed next to her.

She instantly curled into my side and started watching the screen and I seriously couldn't control my damned thoughts about her in that jersey.

I had my arm around her shoulder and she was bawled up in my side watching the movie intently. She looked so cute when she was focused. I laid my head back on a pillow and just watched her watch the movie. But not in a creepy way. 

I swear I felt the happiest i had ever been in that moment. It was perfect and I suddenly realized, I had fallen for Elizabeth.
