chapter xiv | never say never again

ALEX'S POV

The next two days went by fast and it was hard to distance myself from Liz. She was always around and I hated that I enjoyed it. She even flirted with me, although I don't think she was doing it on purpose. 

We all heard about her and Josh's growing romance and soon they had a ship name just as we had. 'Jiz.' which I found extremely funny. 

The Hustlers didn't like it too much though and they all kept sticking up for Aliz, even though it would never happen. We still screwed with them sometimes but most of it was on Jiz now.

"Lex, hello?" I snapped back to reality as Liz snapped her fingers in front of my face. "Hug me already because you won't get to see me for awhile." she chuckled.

Although it probably didn't mean much to her, I was going to miss her like crazy. I only hoped the little crush I had would go away with time. 

I wrapped my arms around her small frame and closed my eyes, just taking in the moment. I wouldn't be hugging her anytime soon, that was for sure.

"Flight 143 to Nebraska, boarding now." the voice sounded through the airport and Liz let go. She looked like she was about to cry.

Jack hugged her one more time, biting back tears of his own and Liz started to cry a little. 

"I seriously have to go. Bye guys." she mumbled as he pulled away from Jack. 

"Keep in touch!" Rian said, trying to stay cheerful.

She nodded her head and walked off with her suitcase not saying another word. I swear my heart shattered into a million pieces.

ELIZABETH'S POV

As soon as I took a seat on the plane I let the tears out. People were looking at me like I was crazy but I seriously couldn't contain it. I just walked away from four guys I loved a lot. They were all special to me now and I was leaving.

I pulled out my phone and looked at the lock screen, which only made me cry more. A picture of Jack and I, I was on his back and he was piggy backing around Baltimore. 

One New Message:

From: Josh<3
Hey love. I know you're going home today. I hope your flights good. I'll be in LA soon for a show and we have to meet up, I have some important things to ask you xx

I couldn't help but smile at the text from Josh. He always made me smile, always.

To: Josh<3
Alright. Can't wait. :) xx

After I texted back I put my headphones in and let the sound of New Found Glory put me to sleep.

"Those two plane rides were probably the most tiring thing I've ever done." I said to Harley as he picked me up from the airport.

"Well did you have fun?" he smiled.

"Of course. I met a cute boy." I smiled brightly at the thought of Josh.

"I thought you liked Alex?" he pouted.

"I don't. I told you." I sighed. 

"Well tell me about this boy?" he said deviously as we got in his car.

"He's English and the sweetest guy ever. I got drunk and slept with him, that's how I met him." I admitted.

"He was a one night stand?" Harley said disapprovingly.

"Sort of. But then I woke up on his bus and we chatted for a few hours and then hung out for the day. He said when he's off tour he'll take me out on a proper date." I bit my lip. "And he always is going to see me in a few days when his band plays in LA." I smiled.
