"I want to fly. Can you take me far away? Give me a star to reach for tell me what it takes and I'll go so high. I'll go so high. My feet won't touch the ground. Stitch my wings and pull the strings.I bought these dreams, that all fall down." I sang to myself on the walk home from school, I hesitated to open the door to my house because I knew my Mom was waiting to take me to a doctor's appointment. In the past couple days (after the mirror incident) I haven't been eating much and I'm not up to do anything or go anywhere. I've became really anti-social and you almost literally have to grab me by the ankles and drag me out of my house. I grasped the doorknob and struggled to open it. My Mom was already standing in the front entrance waiting for me to get home. She had dark bags under her eyes and her shoulders were sort of hunched over. I could tell she was as worried as I was. We didn't say a word to each other the entire car ride. It wasn't until we were waiting in

the doctor's office when I broke the silence.

"How was your day?"

"Fine." My Mom replied, I could tell there was a difference in her tone.

"That's good," I was anxious to know if Layla had contacted her yet. "Got any interesting phone calls lately?"

"One," She crossed her right leg over her left. "From a certain woman named Layla Kayleigh."

"And?"

"I don't know about you going to L.A, Morgan."

"C'mon Mom! If it's because of school I can ask my teacher to give me the work so I can do it on the plane!"

" It's more about how I can't miss work to take you there."

"What if I can stay with Christine?"

"I don't know about that Morgan.."

"Mom this could be major for my career! Could you just call her and ask?"

"Morgan Grace." She always used my middle name with my first name when I was in trouble. I grabbed my phone and dialed Christine's number.

"Ask her, please." I pleaded one last time. She rolled her eyes and took the phone from my hands. She talked to Christine for over 20 minutes before she hung up.

"So?"

"She said it's fine with her."

"YES!" I screamed jumping up from my seat, the whole waiting room looked at me and I casually sat back down.

"Morgan." A blonde nurse called from behind the counter, her bright smile was definitely not plastered on. I was almost jealous of her happiness.
