HIDDEN, MY LOVE

Why? It was the only thing that left my mind.
To sounds I was deaf and to sight I was blind
All I saw was your silhouette leaving me
But what do I do? I let it be.

It must've been pride that made me hold my ground
For my heart broke loudly without a sound
I thought I was prepared for the moment
But when it did I was left dead silent

I watched you slowly walk away
But didn't even bother to ask you to stay
For what's the point if you already made your choice
Will you even hear the longing in my voice

I let you leave not because I'm done
Nor because I've already found someone
But because I've grown tired
Tired of waiting, for god knows I tried.

But as I slowly watched you walk away
I was then reminded of the day
When everything was fine and nothing was wrong
And we were simply going strong

When you're gone and out of sight
My face was then filled with a bitter delight
For all the things that you had promised
That now I know you would miss

You promised me a whole lot of things
And even tho it was nonsense it was something I loved hearing
To hear you say all your sweet nothings
I will sacrifice anything

But my love you promised to stay
So why had you walked away
You promised me my hug someday
But you suddenly left one day

I thought I was the one you've chosen
I thought none of them would be broken
But my love while you left in peace
I was left shattered to pieces

But nonetheless, I'd be waiting for you
For the love I gave was rare and true
For I had loved you once, and loved you still
I always had and always will
