A/N~~~ Hey guys! I'm super sorry for the long wait! I've been busy with school and being all lifeguardy and cool. That, and I dont have internet everyday. :( I do promise to try and update every Wednesday and Saturday! So, here ya go! Chapter 8! Enjoy!
As I made sure the whole place was clean, I opened the sun guard, and out the silvery key fell. I placed in the keyhole and turned, ready to go. The engine started quickly but loud. The roaring sound of the gasoline being pumped throughout the camper. However, there is one place I need to go.
Driving down the empty highway, I see my mothers house. Still standing, but every plant surrounding is dead. I park the vehicle and leave Pazzo on her own. There were a few things I needed to get from my secondary home. As I walked closer to the house, the back patio is caving in. I walk up the stairs slowly, trying to make myself as light as I possibly can. All the glass in the grey house has been broke, as if there was a gas explosion. I go to open the door, but as I look at it, I can clearly see that it has already been opened. I quickly turn around and run to my source of transportation. Unlocking my door, Pazzo sits up. "Meow." is all she is able to say. "Hello miss Pazzo!" I say as I gently feel the soft fur on her back. Slowly walking to my room, I grab my knife. It was more like a machete actually, but it get the job done if need be. Pazzo follows me to the door, with sadness in her yellow eyes. "sorry kitty, but it might be dangerous," I give her a sad smile and close the door. With the machete in a tight grip, I push the door open, and it falls off the hinges, as if it was merely resting on them. The loud bang and a pool of dust swarms the area. Coughing loudly, I make my way. The whole inside is dusty and empty of life, or at least almost empty...I can hear the heavy scurrying of something behind me. The grip on my hand tightens, and as I'm ready, it stops. I release by held breath, and slide my bag off my shoulders. I Immediately get the thought of opening the fridge. As I attempt to turn on the lights, the only light that remains is from the outside. As I run up the stairs to my mothers room, I grab a map of the U.S. and Canada, as well as Mexico. I close the door and head to the next door to my right. Before I push my door open, the scurrying gets louder, it turns into thumps, as it is coming up the stairs to eat me whole. As I'm ready to swing, it stops, dead in its tracks. I stand for a good five minutes, waiting. I turn and open the door, only to hear movement, this time, from the other side.
The animal that was one the stairs darts up into my room, leaving the door wide open. I turn back out of view of whatever else was back there. Then he spoke. "Oi, there you are kitty, did you find us any food?" I can hear the drool seeping out of the so called cat's mouth, as the food hit the floor. "Good boy!" the male said. I had to see who he was. The door creaked back closed, and I gave a peak. His back was turned, and I could see his shaggy black hair. It was about to his jaw from what I could tell. I held my blade above my head, ready to swing. "If you're going to try and kill me, I would have done a lot more quietly. It was quite the entrance you made there," my blade dropped, and his crystal blue eyes met mine with a smirk. I pushed his gaze aside, thought what I was going to say. "H-how did-" I was cut off by his rudeness. He got on his feet and made a face with his tongue out. "I'm an anomaly my dear!" he turned away from me and bent backwards, making glasses out of his hands. "Which means," his eyes narrowed, and a devious smile was hinted on his face. "I'm much like you."
Something inside snapped. It was like I as careless again, like at the hospital, but this time with rage. I went to swing my blade as he turned around, but he caught my arm, and swept my feet out under me. As a result, my arms were pinned by his hands, and the rest of my body was pinned by his own. "So don't even think about killing me. you see, you haven't found out yet, but we are more alike than you know, Stella," I looked at him with disgusted and rage, all in one facial expression. I could grip his wrists with my hands, as I slid my knees up, bringing my combat boots to his light gray hoodie. I looked up at his pale face, but as I looked at him, I saw a hint of fear and confusion in his eyes, but that didn't matter now, I pushed my legs up, and sent him flying behind me. A fat black cat crept out of my old closet, with a molded over slice of pizza. I ran over and picked him up. "Sebastian! I was wondering where you were!" I yelled as I pet him. His purr was as loud as his meow when he's hungry. I turned at saw the boy standing in the window. Once he opened my curtains, dust started to fly, creating a fantasy-like scene with the like shining through. Before he took his leap, he only said one last thing. "Take care of my cat. I'll be seeing you around," he smiled, and jumped out my window. Sebastian beat me to the window. "wait!" was all I could say. I looked down, only to see his body was not there. I was so dumbfounded about this boy. I walked out of the house, and only saw one living plant. A white rose, standing in the middle of all the dead grass and weeds. I walked to my camper, unlocked it, and Sebastian pushed me out of the way, only to see miss Pazzo. I however, only sat in the drivers seat, only thinking about him
