I arrived home from London and threw my bag on the floor. I flung myself on my bed and sighed with relief. The trip home was boring, to say the least, and I was glad to be back home in time for Sunday dinner. Just as my eyes flitted closed, my phone buzzed from my back pocket.

hey, how was the trip back?

I smiled because Cameron must have remembered that I said I'd be home around 5pm. I picked up my phone and typed a reply.

it was alright, so tired tho :-(

He replied instantly and I smiled.

awh, get some rest then :-)

sure will, see you tomorrow :-) x

I set my phone back down on my dresser, and without even getting changed out of my hoodie and jeans, I fell straight asleep.

-

I dashed through the school doors, Austin running just behind me. I must have been more tired than I thought last night - as soon as I fell asleep, that was it. I didn't wake up for dinner and ended up oversleeping this morning. Now it was about thirty seconds til last bell and I was determined to make it on time.

"Catch ya later!" Austin yelled as he jogged past me and down the hallway. I turned towards the door of my form room and yanked it open. I caught my breath just as the final bell rung, and after composing myself, made my way over to my seat.

It wasn't until I sat down that I noticed the girls on the back row were all staring at me. I slowly turned my head a little more to catch a glimpse of them, but as soon as I did, they huddled their heads together and avoided eye contact. Huh.

Emily looked up at me from her book and smiled. "How was your trip to London?" She asked, setting her book down.

"It was great, thanks," I replied. "The concert was amazing, and I actually got to meet Taylor Swift afterwards."

"No way!" She squealed, causing me to laugh a little. "That's amazing! Was she nice?"

"Oh, totally, she was super sweet," I smiled at the memory.

"Did she laugh about your matching surnames?" Emily asked.

"Oh yeah," I chuckled. "She did, it was funny."

We were interrupted by the bell ringing, and after saying goodbye to Emily, I turned down the hallway towards my first class. Along the way I passed Amber's locker and she threw her arms around my neck. I hugged her back, giggling.

"Tell. Me. Everything." She said as we continued walking down the hallway. I told her about everything from arriving in London, to going to soundcheck with my mom, to seeing Ed Sheeran and other celebrities sitting in the same row as us, and to...

"...and then, I, uh, met her. I met Taylor." I gushed out, wondering how she'd react. I turned to look at my best friend, eyes slightly wide because she hadn't said anything yet, but I was caught with the sight of a truly speechless teenage girl. Her eyes were so wide they were almost popping out her sockets, and her jaw was almost on the floor.

"No...way..." she finally breathed out. Then her lips curled into a smile and she began jumping up an down, holding onto my arm. "No way, no way, no way! Are you kidding me?!"

She squealed when I nodded in reply.

"Oh," I began, as we walked into the classroom and took our seats. The teacher wasn't here yet and we still had a few minutes til the start of lesson bell. "I got you something. Give me your phone."
