taylor's all like sup kids i love her gn
----------
The end of day bell rang and within seconds students were pouring out the front doors, desperate to get home for the start of the weekend. I walked outside to the parking lot, where Poppy's mom had offered to drop me home before we met up at the train station later that evening.
I had mentioned to Taylor earlier in the week that I would be bringing my friends with me but, just like Austin and mom, she acted wary of the idea. She was all, "what about those nice friends you mentioned at first?" and "what about that girl who I gave you a video message for?" - I had to explain that I obviously wasn't friends with them so much anymore because they didn't like the idea of me having other friends. The more I think about it, the more I realise they weren't all so harsh about it, but rather Amber spearheading the group's opinion, so, if Amber doesn't like me then none of them do.
Still, Taylor couldn't even be bothered to hide how unimpressed she was that I didn't consult her first.
"We were supposed to hang out this weekend, you know, because I don't get to be in the UK all that often," she'd said with a sigh over the phone.
"Yeah, but when you're doing your radio interview between our spa, what would I do?" I'd retorted.
"I sent you over my team's schedule. Radio interview from 9AM until 11AM, lunch with the London-based producers I'll be working with on the next album. A lunch you would have been invited to, may I add. And then studio time throughout the afternoon, which I really wanted you at so we could get some writing input."
"You never made it the clear," I'd said, rolling my eyes. "Oh well, I'm sure I won't be missed at lunch. Layla already mentioned getting a reservation at her uncle's restaurant - he's a world class chef, you know."
"I think you're missing the point here, Cait."
"Can you just be supportive of my friends? Austin and Mom can't seem to be happy for me, I don't need you too."
"Fine, I'm not arguing this. But, I just think you're throwing away a good opportunity not including yourself in the album input. It's a shame."
I was sure she could cope making another album without my help, I mean, she never had it before. So what difference did it make now? We haven't really spoken since that phone call, other than her sending over her updated schedules, advising who would be picking us up from the station and taking us to the hotel and all that.
-----
"This hotel is just like, so lush," Poppy squealed as we walked through the doors held open by two men in suits. "I haven't been to such a nice hotel in like, a year."
"Yeah Cait," Kimberly nodded in agreement. "It's so cool you got Taylor to let us come with."
"And there's a gym downstairs, I'll definitely be checking that out," Nick nodded with approval.
We made our way to the front desk, where a member of Taylor's team greeted and led us towards the lift. We made out way up to the top floor of the hotel, and were given our respective room keys. I was sharing with Poppy, Layla with Kimberly, and the boys having the two rooms with the shared doorway.
"So, like, when do we get to hang out with Taylor?" Layla questioned as we placed our bags on the beds.
"Maybe Sunday," I replied, slipping my shoes off. "She's a little busy tomorrow and I'm with her tomorrow evening, so."
"We're not here for Taylor," Poppy rolled her eyes. "We're here for a luxurious weekend! I'm sure the boys will want to relax with us too. Plus, I broke up with Declan like yesterday, so I need some rejuvenation time."
