the next day...
"Why is he still here?" I slowly woke up and heard Mitch question Scott. "You said he would be gone yesterday" He shouted.
"I didn't want him to leave. It was getting late and it was raining-" Scott defended himself.
"Scott, he is a grown man who can take care of himself. I don't think he needs you to take care of him" Mitch interrupted.
"You don't understand" Scott continued to defend himself.
"Forget it, I'm going to work" Mitch slammed the door. Scott let out a deep and frustrated breath.
He sat down on the couch and noticed that I was awake. "You heard all of that, didn't you?" He asked. I nodded in response.
"I think I'm going to go home now. It was nice seeing you again" I stood up and headed toward the door.
"Wait." He protested. "Can I at least have your number, so we can catchup?" He asked.
"Give me your phone" I responded. He passed me his phone and I typed my number into his phone. Then I passed it back.
"Bye, Scott" I left his house still wearing his clothes. But I didn't mind.
I eventually reached my apartment. I heard my phone vibrate in my room. I never really took my phone out with me. It always stayed here.
I got to my phone and saw that I had gotten a text from an unsaved number.
Unknown: It's Scott.
Unknown: Hoping this is the right number. 🙈
