The drive was a quick one, due to me subtly speeding. I was just trying to get him back to my house, to get him out of sight of Justin.

We had finally arrived and the house lights were on so, I assumed Scott was home. I let Mitch into the house and I watched as he observed the house. "You have a really nice place" He complimented. I directed him to the guest room that was upstairs.

"Avi?" I heard Scott called out for me. "Who's up there with you?" He asked.

I came down the stairs and saw that he was standing on the first step, about to come up. "It's Mitch" I answered. I could see his face change with my response. He opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him before he could say anything. "Justin had threatened Mitch and hurt him and I don't want Mitch to go back to that. I won't let him make the same mistake I did"

"B-But he's an adult who can take care of himself." He retorted, quickly.

"Wow. You sounded just like Mitch right then" I responded.

"Excuse me?" He questioned whilst furrowing his eyebrows.

"When I first came to your house, that's the first thing I heard him say about me" I responded whilst sitting on a step and the realisation hit him. "I'm not going to let Justin hurt him. That's he's here. Justin was going to hurt him if I didn't do anything. I couldn't let that happen" I responded and he didn't know what to say. But what could he honestly say? I was just trying to help someone who needed help.

"Well, tell him that I said hello" He requested as he went back to our living room. I stood up and went back to where Mitch was to comfort him as I did find him crying once more.

He wasn't going back there.
