Beth's POV

A sharp, sudden pain in my stomach causes me to wake, followed closely by a wave of nausea.

I throw the covers off and run to the ensuite bathroom, quickly making it in time to empty dinner into the toilet.

Unfortunately I am not one of those people that throw up once and they're done.

Oh no.

I prefer to spend a good five minutes constantly heaving over a toilet with a force so violent I actually have been known to burst blood vessels on my eyelids.

Truly.

I sit on the floor next to the toilet and wait for the moment to pass when I no longer want to throw up.

What the hell was in that cheese?

My stomach suddenly churns and a stab of pain goes right through it.

Oh fuck no.

I scramble off the floor as I pull my knickers down and sit myself on it, and by gods this poor toilet must have been really bad in a previous life after what I've just subjected it to.

I sit for a few moments until I'm satisfied that there is nothing more inside my body that wants to come out.

Harry tried to kill me with his cheese.

Fuck the temperature is so hot in here.

I need to lay down.

I grab some toilet paper and just as I'm about to start cleaning myself I notice my knickers.

My lovely white cotton ones.

Only they seem to be more red than white now.

Okay, Harry wasn't trying to kill me, I take it back.

Fucking period.

I sigh and finish cleaning myself before I decide my knickers are far too gone to save and throw them in the bin.

I walk back into my bedroom and grab a new pair before I go back into the bathroom.

I pad my knickers up before I fill a glass with water and take some Advil. I finish the water and brush my teeth, before I walk back to my bed and pull back the sheets to see if I need to change the linen.

Thankfully no.

I crawl back into bed and pull the covers up to my neck.

I feel cold and begin to shiver, though I know it's only a matter of time before I'm sweating like there's no tomorrow.

I groan inwardly as I realise this period is going to be a painful one and I'm going to be as sick as a dog until tomorrow.

But on the plus side, it will only be for a day.

But sadly I will not feel like going to a disco, wear white pants or take up extreme or water sports like most women seem to do in television adverts once they start using sanitary items.

Eventually my stomach stops cramping long enough for me to finally fall asleep.

Nick's POV

"She's still asleep and its 10am," Chloe says to me.

"I know, she must be really tired," I reply.

Now, my mum does like a lie-in at times, but she's usually awake when we go and see her.

She's still asleep.
