"Holly!!" I yell through the door.
"Just a minute!" She yells back.
I groan and throw myself on her bed.
A minute later Holly walks out of the bathroom freshly showered with dark blue night shorts and a white tank top.
"Can I borrow some night clothes I didn't bring any." I say.
"Yeah sure." She says.
I walk to her dresser and pick out a pair of black night shorts and a red tank top.
"So what do you wanna do?" Holly asks me once I get dressed.
I sit crossed legged on her bed.
"I don't know." I say.
"Let's go get snacks." Holly says getting up.
I copy her action and follow her downstairs.
After grabbing a bag of sour cream and onion chips, a box of chocolate chip cookies, and two root beers, we head back upstairs.
I turn on the TV and flip through the channels until I land on a friend's re-run episode.
We both sit on the bed and my phone dings.
Tyler.

Hey Angel 😇😇😉

I smile and Holly looks over my shoulder.
"Awee!!" Holly squeals.
"Shut up!" I say slapping her arm.
I turn back to my phone and write back to Tyler.

Hey😊 I'm just hanging out with Holly, gonna spend the night😴😴

I text back then set my phone down.
"So what's with the nickname?" Holly asks curiously.
"I don't know, god knows I'm no angel." I say laughing.
"Yeah I know." Holly laughs.
"Hey!" I protest.
"What? I'm your best friend, I know you." Holly says.
I laugh and roll my eyes.
My phone dings telling me I got a new message from Tyler.

Ah sounds fun😙😙😜

I smile then write back.

Me: So what ya doin?? 😝😝

Tyler: not much, watching Adria, my parents are out

Me: haha have fun with that 😜😜😉

Tyler: you're so mean 😢😢

Me: awe I'm sworry

Tyler: haha I'm joking, I gtg put Adria to bed talk later

Me: ok bye bye😜😜

I set my phone back down and turn to Holly.
"Let's play truth or dare." I say smiling.

"No way!" Holly says crossing her arms.
"Yes! You have to." I protest.
"I never should've agreed to play." Holly scoffs.
"Too bad!" I say sticking my tongue out at her.
She rolls her eyes and jumps off the bed.
I follow her as she walks downstairs and opens the door.
By now the rain was pouring so bad that if you stepped out for five seconds you would be soaked.
But I had dared Holly to run out in the rain and dance for a minute.
I grinned as she walked outside and started dancing.
But Holly was actually a good dancer.
She had been taking dance lessons since she was five.
She could do anything from ballet, to hip hop, to ballroom, to salsa, pretty much anything.
I smiled as she walked out into her driveway, curtsied, then started dancing ballet.
People drove by and stared at her but she didn't seem to care.
I took out my phone and started video taping her.
She was actually really good.
Like amazing!
I laughed as she finished her routine and ran back to me, soaking wet.
"That was amazing!" I say smiling.
"Really? I thought it was sloppy." Holly says.
I laugh and we both walk back inside.
"Here dry off." I say handing her a towel.
She takes it and dries off then we head back to her room and she changes into dry clothes.
"Ok back to the game." Holly says sitting down on the bed.
I follow her action and sit across from her.
"Truth or dare?" Holly asks me.
"Truth." I say.
"What happened between you and Tyler while I was gone?" Holly asks me.
"Nothing, he just got more comfortable around me." I say.
"Ugh fine!" Holly says groaning.
Ok, truth or dare? " I ask her.
"Dare again." She says.
I think for a minute then an idea pops into my head.
"I dare you to enter the school dance team." I say smiling.
"Jordyn, you know I'm not good enough for that." Holly sighs.
"Not good enough? You're probably just as good, if not better then all the students there." I say.
"You've been dancing since you were five, you are amazing." I add.
"Do I have to?" Holly asks.
"Yes, and you'll know that you're good if they accept you." I say.
"Ok fine, but don't be disappointed if I don't get in." She says.
"Holly, you will." I say smiling.
She just rolls her eyes.
"I'm hungry." She complains grabbing the bag of chips.
She opens the bag and I steal a few chips.
"I hate you." Holly glares at me.
"Holly, you're a amazing dancer." I say.
"How do you know that?" She asks.
"Look over there." I say pointing to her dresser.
On the top sat three medals.
One for best ballet dancer of the whole class when she was seven.
One for second place hip hop when she was twelve.
And another one for ballet when she was fifteen.
"Holly, you're amazing, they would be crazy to not accept you." I say smiling.
"Thanks." Holly says smiling.
"Ok, now we have to put a routine together for you." I say.
"Like you know anything about dancing." Holly laughs at me.
"You're right, I don't, but this year I do know the school dance team is looking for hip hop dancing." I say smiling.
"Ok, so I have to put together a hop hop routine." Holly sighs.
"Yepp, and additions are next week, exactly one week from the start of school, so let's get started." I say smiling.

"No I like that one better." Holly says.
"Well you're the pro, you decide." I say.
"I'm not a pro." Holly says.
"Whatever." I say putting my hands up in a surrendering motion.
"So let's try that one again." Holly says pointing to the video on my phone screen.
I had been taking videos of her so she could see her routine then fix it if needed.
"Ok." I say.
Holly had quite a big room so she had plenty of room to dance.
She started her hip hop routine as I video taped it.
After she finished I stopped the video and showed her.
"There's something wrong with it." Holly sighs.
"Right there, your foot was misplaced." I say pausing the video.
"Ok so let's try again." Holly says.
I smiled at her perseverance.
She had been dancing for over an hour now trying to get the perfect routine.
She tried the routine again and then looked back to watch it on my phone.
"I think it's perfect." I say.
"I don't know..." Holly says.
"Holly, I admire you for not giving up until it's perfect, but you're exhausted." I say.
"Ok, I'll take a break." Holly says sitting on the bed.
"You have a week till additions." I remind her.
"I know, but I want it to be perfect." She says.
"It will be." I say sitting next to her on the bed.
Her phone dings and she picks it up to see a message from Dylan.

Hey what ya doin?

Holly smiles and writes back.

Just putting together a dance routine, my friend is making me try out for the school dance team 😟😟

She sends the message and sets down her phone.
"Holly, don't be nervous." I say putting my hand on her arm.
"How can I not be nervous?" Holly asks me.
"Ok you get to be a little nervous, but not too much." I say laughing.
"Thanks." Holly says sarcastically.
Her phone dings telling us she got a message from Dylan.

Wow you dance? I didn't know that, I bet you're great at it tho😉

Yep this guy is definitely interested.
Holly smiles then writes back.

Holly: Yeah I love dancing I've been doing it since I was five 😊😊

Dylan: wow that's great, I'd love to see you dance

Holly: thanks but I'm really not that great

"Yes you are!" I say slapping here arm.
"Shut up!" Holly says.
"You are amazing Holly." I say smiling.
She rolls her eyes then turns back to her phone as she gets another message.

I bet you are 😉😉😊

I smile and Holly rolls her eyes.

Holly: Haha thanks😊😊 I'm gonna go I'm with my friend but I'll talk to you tomorrow

Dylan: ok see ya 😊😝😉

I laugh as Holly sets down her phone.
"What's so funny?" Holly asks me.
"Oh nothing." I lie.
But I had an evil plan brewing.
