Dinner

(Jacob's POV)

Dinner is going to be awkward, I can feel it. As max and I were getting ready I sighed loudly. "Wondering if dinner is going to be awkward?" Max asked.
"Yeah I hope it isn't. I don't want the kiss to ruin the friendship that North and I have." I said.
"Well we will see how it goes we are meeting Adam and Alesa outside our room." Max said walking towards the door. He opened it and Adam and Alesa were outside waiting. "Hey how was the lovebird's walk?" Adam said raising both eyebrows and making kissing noises trying to be funny.
"Uhhh fine it was just a walk nothing happened." I said nervously.
"Suuure, anyways let's go the others are taking the bigger rental." Adam said. We then walked to the car and drove off. Max was driving, Adam was in the passenger seat, Alesa and I were in the backseat. I was staring at the scenery when Alesa tapped me on the shoulder. I turned and she had her phone in her hand. "Look at your phone." She lipped. So I took out my phone and saw that she texted me.
(A-Alesa J-Jacob)
A: hey so what really happened on your walk.
J: nothing happened why are you asking again?
A: because I know that you and North kissed.
J: WHAT! HOW!?
A: I woke up earlier than Adam and I walked towards the window to look at the beach and sunset. I saw you two sitting on the shore, I also saw you take the picture which I want to see, and then I saw you guys kiss.
J: I don't know what to think of that now.
A: why?
J: she said right after the kiss that it never happened and I should forget about it.
"Hey we're here." Max said.
"Finally. I'm famished." I replied. We got inside and got a table for 10. We all sat down and eventually the others showed up. I immediately locked eyes with North and her face got red, she knew and turned away. "Hey stop staring your face is red too." Max whispered in my ear.
"Oops" I said softly and hid my red face with the menu. I must have not noticed but when I ordered I looked to my side and saw North sitting next to me. Damn, I thought to myself as my face grew red again. I tried to hide it by pretending I was tired by rubbing my eyes. As the others were talking I took the opportunity to whisper to North, "hey so about what happened on the beach..."
"That never happened!" She whispered back.
"Ok I understand that but it is starting to get awkward between us and I don't want to lose out friendship." I replied. Everyone else must have stop talking to listen to us because Adam said out loud, "don't want what to ruin your friendship?" Both North and I immediately got flustered and said in unison, "nothing." Everyone laughed at how we spoke at the same time. I barely spoke the rest of dinner because of how embarrassed I got when Adam and the others eavesdropped. We ate our dinner and went back to our hotel and got into our rooms. When Max and I got into our room I immediately plopped down on the bed face first. "I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes." Max said. Not wanting to speak I gave him a thumbs up. He laughed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I then heard my phone go off and saw that I got a text from North.
