Good Bye

(Jacob's POV)

I woke up to the sound of Chris talking to someone. My first thought was that he was talking to Max but it didn't sound like Max's voice. So I turned and Chris seemed excited to see me awake and told me, "hey Jacob this is my adoption father."
"Hello my name is Brian, Chris has told me a lot about you, thank you." Brian said
"Why are you thanking me?" I asked.
"For being a good friend to him." Brian replied.
"Well the doctor has cleared me so I can go home now" Chris told me.
"Awesome!" I said.
"We should be able to leave in a couple minutes, I'm glad that you are awake to see Chris go." Brian said.
"W-wait! Before you leave Chris can I get your number so we can text each other?" I asked.
"Haha I was going to ask you the same question" Chris replied laughing. We exchanged numbers and eventually Chris and Brian left. Max was starting to wake up so I waited until he was a little more alert to ask, "what happened while I was gone?"
"A little bit of nothing." Max replied rubbing his eyes trying to be funny. I laughed and stopped because it hurt my chest. The doctor saw and walked in the room. "Anything wrong?" The doctor asked.
"N-no it's just my chest from laughing." I replied.
"Ok, well I just wanted to let you know that you will have to stay here for a few more days to get that arm taken care of." The doctor said.
"Ok" I replied a little sadly. The doctor left and Max put his hand on my arm (the good one) and said, "at least you are here instead of still held captive."
"Yeah thanks." I said.
"I'm going to go get food what do you want?" Max asked.
"Umm... Pancakes and orange juice please." I replied. Max nodded and left.
