Your P.O.V.

Staring out the window, you sighed. Being on the bus for five hours made you want to stretch your legs. Pulling out your phone, you pulled up a map and determined you were just twenty minutes away from your destination. Gravity Falls, Oregon. Supposedly a quiet town where not much happened. 'Huh', you thought, 'Just like my life...' You thought.

Your parents were sending you to live with your Uncle Dave for the summer. Towards the end of the school year the fighting became unbearable and they decided they needed some time to 'talk things out'. But in all honesty that's wasn't going to happen. You already knew the inevitable and preferred not to think about it.

Uncle Dave would take your mind off it, though. He was funny and cool. He was a painter who moved to Gravity Falls for inspiration.

However, you were scared you wouldn't make any friends. You were well-kinda of awkward.

Pushing these thoughts away and putting your headphones in, you turned up  [F/S], to kill time and set the mood to be cheerier.

    *20 min. time skip*

"Ey, kid." You looked up from your phone. "You going to get off?"

It then hit. You were in Gravity Falls. "Oh-uh, I'm sorry." You apologized as you rounded your stuff up and made your way to the front of the bus. It was a long bus, and that made the walk toward the front even more awkward.

Right after your feet touched the ground you turned away to say thank you, but the bus driver already closed the door and sped off in the distance. Yeesh, that guy was rude.

Not letting the incident bother you, you looked around. There was a town hall, and right in front of it there was a statute of a man, supposedly the founder, 'Nathaniel Northwest'. It was completely covered in bird shit. Trying not to laugh,  you looked the other way toward the library.

A flash of yellow temporarily caught your vision. You blinked and rubbed your eyes. 'What was that?' You questioned. Looking around, there was nothing yellow. The yellow thing was gone. However, you did see some nice blue flowers planted in front of the library.

What else? There was a diner, 'Greasy's Diner'. It looked like a hometown restaurant that either had really good food or really horrible food. Walking out of it, there was an older gentleman who wore a fez and a suit, and two brown haired, brown eyed twins- a boy and girl.

The older man looked quite irritated as he walked towards his car. The other two jumped in the backseat. The boy had his nose in a book not looking up. The girl noticed you staring and you quickly adverted your eyes. 'Wow, way to go (Y/N). You probably looked like a creep staring at them like that.'

You pretended to look busy by looking in the opposite direction.

The red car pulled up to where you were sitting on a worn out bench. With the window rolled down, the older guy questioned, "Hey, kid. Where you going with all the luggage? Are you Dave's niece?"

Just as he finished his sentence, the girl basically lunged out the window talking a zillion miles an hour. "YEA!WHERE ARE-" The girl got cut off by the man. "Mabel, let the kid speak. And don't scare her to death."

Ah, so the girl's name is Mabel. "I am staying with my Uncle Dave this summer. Do you know him? Is that how you know who I am? He's awfully forgetful...I think he forgot he had to pick me up."

"Sure do, kid. He lives close by to the Mystery Shack. If you want I can give you a lift."

Now normally, when an old guy offers you a ride, you walk away quickly. However, he didn't seem like a creep and after all there were two kids that looked about your age riding with him.

Squinting suspiciously at the man you offered, "My name is (Y/N). I don't accept rides from strangers but if you told me who you were, I might go with you."

"Stan Pines." He grinned and continued, "Or famously known as the man of Mystery."

    "Never heard of you."

"You're a real smart one, aren't you?" Stan smirked. "Think I'll like you."

Shrugging, you grab your luggage. "Sit in the front seat, okay, kid?" You nodded and climbed in.

"They're my great niece and nephew." He said jabbing a thumb towards the back seat.

The boy still was staring at the book intently. However, Mabel took this as a cue to talk. "Hi! My name's Mabel! I love animals, sweaters and boys! Do you want to be bffs this summer? Oh my gosh! You are really pretty! What's your secret?" She whisper-shouted the last part.

"You say things pretty straight-forwardly, don't you Mabel?" She nodded. "Well, Mabel I am going to be here for the whole summer, hopefully we will get to know each other better...As for being pretty...you're actually a lot more attractive than me." I awkwardly coughed and looked down.

Mabel gasped. "Oh my gosh I almost forgot to introduce my bro-bro!"

Dipper's P.O.V.

    *Five minutes ago*

"Ugh-Grunkle Stan, I'm so full!" Mabel busted out.

"You shouldn't have stuffed you face then, should ya? Dipper look up from that book for a moment and watch where you're going." Sighing I closed it and got in the car. Mabel then squealed. "Oh-my-gosh, who is that girl? She looks new! I can be her friend! Grunkle Stan, can we drive over to her?"

"Hey-that kid, I think it's Dave's niece. He said something about her coming and staying for the summer when we were playing cards..." He trailed off.

I looked over to where they pointed. There was a beautiful girl sitting on the old, worn out bus bench. She had (H/L) (H/C) hair that swayed in the wind. Her posture was easy going and she was taking in her surroundings. She wore skinny jeans and a band t-shirt. She had white vans. 'Back at it again with the white vans beautiful stranger?' I felt a blush creep onto my face. She is awfully pretty, I hope I don't screw up and be too awkward.

I looked over at Mabel yipping excitedly about a possible new friend. Thank goodness she didn't notice my blush. She would try and set me up with the mystery girl in a snap. I then realized with a defeated sigh that she probably already had a boyfriend. Getting closer to the bench, I saw her more clearly and knew that she must definitely have a boyfriend. She looked like an angel with her hair glowing in the sunlight.

Grunkle Stan rolled down the window and I put my face into the book, trying to contain my blush. Grumble Stan said something to her but I couldn't hear him over my buzzing thoughts on how to appeal to her. I did hear her voice though. It was like silk. Sassy silk that is. I tried not to smile like an idiot. I stared down at the book as she hopped in. I heard Mabel start conversation and I tried to think of something to intervene but couldn't. That's when Mabel said, "Oh my gosh I almost forgot to introduce my bro-bro!"
