Mabel's P.O.V.
Honestly, there wasn't much to explain. Dipper went after Bill because he hurt (Y/N), the girl he was practically married to. I still gave him a quizzical look along with (Y/N), however.
"W-what really hap-happened?" His blush intensified. (Y/N) stared down at him, waiting for answers.
"T-the truth? Okay, you um, want to know the truth? I practically love night walks and I just so happened to stumble into Bill?" Dipper questioned.
"LIES! You suck at lying! Bro-Bro, just tell her the truth!" I shouted.
(Y/N) sat down next to him. (Pretty close next to him). She put her hand on his knee. Sqqquuuueeeee! OTP! OTP! Wait Mabel, I thought. This is serious business I have to contain it! But it burbled inside. I couldn't contain it. So cute! I had to hide under a blanket and scream into a pillow not to make a scene.
Your P.O.V.
Mabel crawled under the blanket and was making weird noises. We both looked confused at the lump of blankets.
The lump goddess must have known we were looking at her because she declared, "Go have the serious conversation without me! I cannot go on!" After saying this, the lump rolled to the other side of the bed-kingdom.
"Alright then." I said, breaking the awkward silence that followed after. I looked over at Dipper to find him fiddling with his Pine Tree hat. (A/N-I knew he switched with Wendy in the show, but in the story he didn't.)
"Please tell me the truth, Dipper. Don't you trust me?" I begged him, scooting a little closer to him. The blanket ruffled between us and we were almost touching.
Keeping his head down he started, "Of course I trust you. What kind of-" He stopped, looked up and met my gaze. His brown eyes shone worry.
Moving his hand toward mine, he placed it on top of it. We were both blushing. "(Y/N), I-" You both gazed into each other's orbs.
You felt dejected when he moved his hand away. "I just, after he took you away without knowing where or what I freaked out. And after all that when I saw you cry...I just kind of lost it. I didn't like seeing you hurt."
Blushing and averting your gaze, you quickly stood up. "Don't worry about me, it's fine."
Dipper stood up with you. "How can I not worry?"
All of a sudden, everything became too much and it all felt wrong. You had to leave immediately. Your heart hammered and there was an overwhelming swirling in your chest. You grabbed your bag and walked to the door frame. It was happening.
Dipper looked at me. "W-what are you doing?" He questioned.
Mabel popped up from under the lump. "Aren't you staying the night?" She stood up.
I looked at both of their faces. "I-I'm sorry." You choked. "I c-can't. Not tonight. It doesn't feel right."
Dipper pulled his jacket off the desk chair. "At least let me walk you home."
Whatever it was couldn't be contained anymore. "S-sorry, but no." You rushed down the squeaky steps.
Running through the gift shop, Mr. Pines was taking inventory. The Shack had been closed for hours. "Wow, kid. What's got-"
You ran out the door, the bell dangling after you. Running. That's all. Running away from the Mystery Hack, away from problems.
The night air was cool. The trees swayed ever so slightly. Nothing could be heard except the pounding of footsteps of the dirt road. The moonlight illuminated the scene, making it look like a movie set. But sadly, it wasn't.
Dave's cabin was in sight. The lights were on. Dave would understand...but something held you back from going inside. Of course, you never told anyone about your problem. The thought was scary enough. No, better to bear the burden than to complain.
Well, if not the cabin, guess the only other choice is the woods. Hesitantly looking in the dark forest, you took a deep breath before running into the unknown.
Twigs snapped. The brush made noise. The cuts from them were non-existent, replaced by adrenaline. It got to the point where you collapsed to the ground, unable to go on.
Your breathing was forced and heavy. It wasn't all from the running, however. All of the events were more than you could handle.
The tree you leaned on was strong and supportive. The wind carried your uneasy breathing into the distance. Your eyes popped, deadly thoughts circling your brain.
Things should be different. I thought I got over this. The new location and people should have helped. What's wrong with me? How could all of this happen to a single person in a couple of days? What if...
You couldn't hold hold it in and started to cry. Lost. Scared. Confused. Anxious. The feeling always came back no matter what you did. There wasn't a specific name for it. It was just...there. Always waiting. A swirling abyss.
The wind changed direction. A light appeared. You looked up, not caring if it was a monster that wanted to eat you.
It was Bill. You threw the one rock you had at him. It missed. He started to slowly walk to you. Crap.
A/N- Hope you enjoyed it! Probably not a great chapter, but you know.
Getting braces on tomorrow! 👍 It's all good! Jk...people have told me it was going to hurt. Haha...oh no.
