Chapter 2~ Layla's pov

5 years later

"Watch it nerd!" I heard Harry yell while pushing me into a near by wall, all of my stuff flying everywhere. Just great!

"Sorry" I said acting scared. Ever since that day 5 years ago I've gotten tougher. The bullies don't affect me anymore but I still put up a good front. I keep my school life separate from everything else 'cause I don't want anyone to know the real me.

You could say I sort of created a name for myself in the streets. Being the head of a gangs sister was a pretty good start, after I was in people heard about me pretty fast.

"Here let me help." Zayn said stepping on my hand as I reached for my things. Sometimes it's really hard for me not to knock them all to the ground.

I just grabbed my things and ran out of school. Thank god it's friday! When I got to my house I changed to my normal clothes, black skinny jeans a blue ruffled tank top with a black leather jacket and converse. Part normal part tough, perfect. I took out my bun letting my hair fall in loose waves.

I took my glasses off putting my contacts in. I liked my eyes, they were different, they were me. One was a light blue one was green. Most people thought I was weird but I don't care what they thought.

I left my house driving to my "second home" and walked up to the door patting Paul on the chest.

"Hey Pauly" I said teasing him. He just grunted in response trying not to smile. I walked in and sat on the a couch near Cher.

"Hey Layla? I heard there's a party in town tonight. Want to go?"She asked me excitedly, like she had been waiting all day to get that out.

"Um no." I said bluntly.

"Please Layla? No one else would." She mumbled the last part.

"Because everyone knows it's a terrible idea, what if something were to happen?" She knew what I meant but it didn't faze her.

"Just come to this one and if something happens I'll never ask again, promise." She said. I thought about it for a second, that's a good deal. I agreed.

"Hey have a drink." Cher half slurred holding on to my shoulder. I took her cup from her setting it aside.

This is what I didn't want, her to get drunk and let her guard down. She was asking for it. I pulled her to the dance floor to mix in with the other mob of bodies and hopefully stay hidden and dance it off.

Who knows how long we danced for until we both agreed that we needed air. I guess the party wasn't so bad, nothing has gone wrong yet at least.

I walk/carried Cher outside and sat us down on one of the steps. The feeling of being watched was beginning to bug me at this point but when I looked around all I saw were a few people at the door and some in the front all minding their own business. Oh well, maybe I'm crazy.

"Now, is that who I think it is?"

Without even looking at them I could tell who it was and Cher must have known too because when I looked at her she was visibly paler.

"I told you so." I said to her mater-a-factly.
