Chapter 31~Layla's pov
"Niall!" I called and he was next to me in a second.
"Come on." I said to him and turned to everyone else. I nodded and they knew what I meant.
I walked out of the house followed by Niall. When he got in the car I didn't wait to pull out and drive as fast as I could out of there. I had to make four stops before our hour was up an it was go time.
"Where are we going?" Niall asked cautiously.
"We have to go see Hayley." I said and the rest of the car ride was silent.
We finally got there and I waisted no time in getting out and into the house. I walked straight in with Niall right behind me, to find Lauren at the table with some guy I had never seen before.
I didn't pay much attention to them because I went straight to Hayley on the floor and crushed her in a hug.
"Lala what are you doing here?" She asked and her voice alone was enough to make my eyes water.
"I just came to tell you that I love you." I said when I pulled away. I kept her in my arms but far back enough so I could see her face.
"I love you too Auntie Lala!" She smiled.
"Hayley you need to know that I will always Love you no matter what ok? You know that right?" I said and she nodded.
"I know." I smiled and stood up.
"Layla not again." Lauren shook her head. "You can't keep doing this to her. Wha-"
"Shut up Lauren, you only say that because I won't be able to support you. Don't worry you can get one of your boy toys to pay for you until he's drained and you fined the next one." I said and she closed her mouth.
"Are you gonna stay and play?" Hayley said, oblivious to everything I just said.
"No" I said as I turned back to her. "I can't, not today. I have to go ok?" I said and she nodded.
I leaned down and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "I love you baby girl." I whispered in a hoarse voice as I tried not to cry.
"I love you too." She whispered back and I tried my best to smile before I turned and left.
I had only had to do that once before in the last 5 year but no matter what the outcome may be it will always hurt to know there's a possibility that I won't be able to watch he grow up. That one day she, along with everything else could just be gone.
Of course I knew what I was getting myself into and I knew what the risks were and I still chose to do it anyway.
I got in the car and wiped the few tears that had managed to fall, before Niall got in the passenger seat. I started up the car again and drove off again.Niall knew not to say anything for the entire car ride.
When we pulled up he started to unbuckle his seat belt but this was the one place I wanted him to stay in the car.
"I'm going alone." I said an when he look at our surroundings for the first time he nodded with a sad smile.
After walking around for almost 5 minutes I found the three of them, all labeled with the same last name. I sat by the newest one first.
I stared at the writing and cringed, I had only been here once before an it was the same night I went back to my old house.
I never thought I would be siting here now but here I am. It saddened me to see the three identical stones sticking out of the ground next to each other when there should only be two.
