Layla's pov

As we made our way up the steps of the house I instinctivly became the other me. The real me. I widened my stride walking faster and went straight throught the door with so much confidence, as if I never change, as if it had never happened, as if when I opened it Zac would be on the other side sitting at the table with Nick. I walked in and went straight to the table ignoring everyones gasps.

"Nick, Ben,Erika." I said waving them over to the table. They walked over slowly not knowing what to expect.

"Listen Layla, If Zac were here I kn-" Ben started but I cut him off.

"Well he's not. So I don't want to hear it." I said sounding ruder than I intended." Listen," I said dropping my voice to a murmur." I have been watching Ed for the past couple of weeks. I tried to find Josh but I haven't seen him anywhere and no one has. I searched for him with no luck. Ed's planning something big. I don't know exactly what yet I haven't gotten the chance to I was hoping to last night when I left but Ed had a run in with Niall." I said looking over at him sitting on the couch no longer looking out of place or uncomfterble.

"We need to do this before what ever he is planning. But we have to change it all." I said referring to our previous plan. "He knows about Zac knew what I would do. He used it to his advantage. He knows what we are planning. They moved to a new hide out about 20 minutes outside of town. So I say that we..."

Niall's pov

I was sitting with everybody else and I could hear them all talking about Layla's surprised reappearance, they would whisper something and look over at her as if she wasn't really there and it was all a dream.

"She looks...almost, normal again." Someone had said making all of them smile from ear to ear for a moment. I looked over at her myself and saw her in a little huddle speaking quietly. I had never seen her like this, not even before her brother had passed. She looked so confident and in command.

It was clear by the way she spoke that she was giving off orders. She spoke lowly, none of us could hear and the people with her around the table were leaning forward ever so slightly to catch a every direction that left her mouth. I was brought out of my daze when I heard Luke calling my name.

"Niall, what happened? Where did you find her?" He asked and they all had there attention on me now.

"Uh I didn't actually. She found me, I was walking home last night and Ed was there. She came out of no where and came in between us. She took me home and stayed the night with me." I said looking over at her as I finished telling them what happened.

"What was she doing there? She never left her room? She hasn't in forever. We would know we've been here the whole time."

"Well obviously not. I mean we didn't know she had left till late last night. She's like that, we just didn't expect it." Someone had said, but I wasn't paying attention. I was, again, Looking at Layla because it was weird to see her like this. Especially to go from her broken self to the one that sat at the table in front of us. She said the last of what ever she was saying and the others at the table nodded and Erika spoke up about something I couldn't hear. Layla looked over at us and our eyes met. She looked away hastily and she once again spoke out. I watched as they worked out whatever they were discussing before Erika and Ben walked back over leaving Nick to talk to Layla.

"What is it" Sam asked.

"You'll see in a minute." Ben said quick to change the subject after. I wasn't paying much attention to the conversation since my mind had been elsewhere at the moment. I was pulled out of my thoughts shortly after when I heard Layla calling my name out.
