Chapter 15~Niall's pov
I woke up to the obnoxious sound of my alarm clock going off on my phone. I was quick to turn it off not wanting Layla to wake up. I unwrapped my arms from her waist slowly as to not wake her still.
I got up from my spot next to her on the bed and I crept out of the room silently. walking down the hall and out if the house with out being noticed. I walked to my house not really caring about the time on my phone or how little I had left of it. Getting to school on time was the last thing on my mind right now.
I had walked half way to my house until I some how found myself thinking of the kiss that me and Layla had shared in front of my house yesterday. It probably meant nothing. Only a thank you. But I couldn't seem to get it out of my mind. The way her soft lips fit with mine perfectly. It was spontaneous and over to soon for my liking. She did it with out a thought and probably didn't think of it again. I was definitely over thinking things though.
I had made it to my porch and my thoughts switched from what had happened in this spot to what had happened behind the door moments before that. I didn't want to see Harry today. I didn't want to put up with his shit another day. I walked in and was pleased to see that the house had been empty. I went up to my room to change and get ready and came back down many moments later ready to leave once again.
I had gotten to school to see that I was only an hour late. I got my note from the office and had gotten to first block. I sat in a seat in the back of the class room and put my hood over my head feeling extremely tired.

I hadn't felt up to talking to anyone all day including my "friends". I knew that by now they all knew about me and Layla. So I had gone through the whole day without them and was ready to leave by now. I thought I could have gone unnoticed but wasn't that lucky.
"Hey Niall!" I heard Liam call after me but I ignored them and continued walking towards the exit. I could hear their footsteps getting closer until they were right behind me.
"Where's the freak?" Zayn asked and I clenched my hands into fists annoyed. I kept walking trying to ignore them until I could leave but again wasn't that lucky. Layla had always taken our words and hits without protest. They thought that this was okay now. That they could just do this because they had gotten away with it everyday with Layla. She was putting up a front to hide her other life but I had nothing to hide from them.
After continuously listening to their torment I got tired of listening to the bullshit the were spewing about her. I turned around and punched Liam in the jaw making him stumble backwards slightly. He looked up at me in surprise, I had surprised my self honestly. I saw them all staring at me with a shocked face. My eyes fell on Harry's most shocked face.
I turned around and walked to the parking lot before anything else could happen, leaving them staring after me. I had noticed a familiar black car in the very front. I looked in side to see Nick waiting in the driver seat. He nodded to me telling me to get in the car.
"What's this about?" I asked once I had gotten in.
"You can't walk alone anymore. Every time you do you seem to 'accidentally' run in to Ed" He said looking forward at the road as he drove off.
"So what your my 'escort' now?" I asked sarcastically.
To my surprise he shrugged but then nodded. "Angels orders." Was all he said and I remember what they had called Layla the first time I had came to the house.
I sighed and rested my head against the window while we drove back to the house most likely. After what felt like forever we pulled up at the house just as I had expected. I walked in and went to the living room and scanned the room for her small figure. When I didn't see her I ran up to the room that we had slept in last night and opened the door slowly to see her laying on the bed playing with the threads on her shirt. I walked in and she looked up at the sound of my footsteps. She smiled at me but stayed silent.
"So I'm not trusted anymore?" I asked jokingly trying to lighten the mood slightly. She let out a breathy laugh before looking back up at me once again.
"It's not you that I don't trust. And anyways that's why you are here in the first place anyways right. For us to protect you." She said.
I groaned "You make it sound like I'm a defenseless child." I said and she smiled widely with a small chuckle.
"You kind of are defenseless though" She said and Liam's face popped into my head. I looked at her and could tell she was double thinking her words.
"I mean in our situation." She said and I could tell what she was thinking. I sighed mentally. No matter what I do those memories of me will forever be imprinted in her mind.I pulled her closer and wrapped my arms around her and I smiled when she didn't push me away.
I laid with her not wanting to get up from our spot. I don't know how and don't exactly care why but she let her walls down around me. I could tell, but I didn't want to push anything by asking questions or protruding into her past. If she wasn't ready to tell then I wasn't going to ask.
"Would it be strange if I told you that following you that day was the one of the worst and best thing to happen? I don't regret it, I would do it again in a heart beat. Does that make me weird?" I voiced my thought. Her bubbly laugh sounded next to me and I could feel the vibration emitting from her chest, making me smile widely.
"Not at all." She said as she looked up at me. Her eyes locked me with her gaze and I couldn't find myself looking away. Her strange eyes that were so beautiful. I don't know why I had never seen it before. She was beautiful, and I think I was falling in love with her.
