Chapter 6, Swimming!

Mira holds my hand and walks out pulling me behind. I blink up at Alexander and he grins. "Thank you Mira, You may go now." Alexander says. I let Mira's hand go and I watch her leave. "Well, River, Let me take you to where the kids are. I'm sure you'll want some friends." he says taking my hand. he walks out pulling me along and I tilt my head as two men laugh hysterically on their backs tears slipping from their eyes. Alexander pulls me along and he glances back at the men.

 "Here we are River, I've got to do Alpha business now. Don't be scared." he says opening the door. inside was a huge room where babies to older kids were. all eyes settle on me as Alexander closes the door and I tilt my head. they go back to doing what they were doing after another moment and I blink. hesitantly I totter over to a kid playing alone. "Play?" I ask. the kid wails and the mother jerks him back.

 I feel the stares of everyone as I walk away from where the boy was and I look around once more. every time I near a group of kids they wail. I slowly make my way to some older kids and they glare at me. "Play?" I ask. they spin me around and push me away. I totter into a corner and I stare at the kids as they play. A while later Alexander steps in and he looks at me where I was. he tilts his head as I make my way towards him.

He takes my hand and pulls me from the room shutting the door. "How was it?" he asks. "No one... played." I say. "Do you like... Do you like swimming?" he asks. "Yes. But... I can't swim." I say looking up at him. "I'll teach you. I'll get Mira to bring you a swim suit. And she'll help you change as I change myself." he says. I nod slightly and he lifts me to his hip. "Mira says you have scars. Is that true?" he asks. I nod and his eyes darken a moment. "They make you strong. You've endured their anger at such a young age. I'm grateful to be your father." he says.

I rest my head on his shoulder and we find Mira waiting at the door with a few colors of swimsuits. She takes me and I stare at the bathing suits with interest. we walk into the room and she takes the bathroom as he enters his closet. she locks the door and sets me on the counter. "Which one do you want? I have blue, green, purple, pink, black, and white." she says laying them out. "Green." I murmur.

She helps my into the green Swimsuit and I tilt my head. most of the scars on my arms, legs, and a little bit on my back shows and Mira grins. "You're beautiful." she says. she lifts me up and sets me on her hip. when we walk out Alexander was sitting on the bed on his phone scrolling through something. His eyes darken when he sees my scars and I tilt my head. "Alpha, control your wolf." Mira says. his eyes turn back green after a moment. "Sorry." he mutters. "Shall we go River?" he asks.

I nod and Mira hands me to him. "I'll come out in a minute with Alice and Alicia. they are twins and they couldn't wait to meet you River." she says chuckling. I smile slightly at the thought of friends and Alexander carries me out still on his phone. People stare at my scars with disgust in their gaze. but some others just give me a smile with awe  in their eyes. He steps out the back door and we are greeted by a huge pool. "Ooh." I say with wide eyes.

 Alexander laughs at my expression and sets his phone down. he shrugs off his shirt as I look at the fairly empty pool. he takes my hand and pulls me to the shallow end. he gets in and I squeak when he helps me into the water. it was cool in temperature. he leads me to a slightly deeper end until my feet couldn't touch the bottom. slightly scared I cling onto his hand. "Hey, it's alright River. I'll never let you drown." he says crouching.

"Kick your feet." he says. I do as says and I giggle when I splash him. he grins. "Now paddle with your hands." he says holding onto my stomach. I watch him with a smile and slowly his hands fade and I squeak frightened. "You're doing great River." he says next to me. after a moment I cling onto him tired. he carries me to the edge and sets me onto the concrete side. I sit and I watch as he wades to the deeper end. a few girls flock to him and I tilt my head.  he wades back to me and the girls scatter except for one who follows him.

He blinks in surprise when the girl wraps her arms around him and he turns slightly. "Abigail. How are you today?" he asks. "Fine now that I'm with you." the girl purrs. "Please leave me, I have business to do." he says. she doesn't listen and presses herself to him. annoyance flickers in his eyes until I stare at the girl blankly. after a moment she looks at me. "What is up with the kid?" she asks. "She's to be my daughter soon, I suggest you leave us." Alexander says. Once again Abigail ignores him and sways her hips.

He let's out a low growl of annoyance and I dip my toe in the cool water. "Daddy, can I swim?" I ask after a moment. He pushes Abigail away and wades to me. "Come on, i'll help you swim stronger." he says. Abigail has fury and annoyance in her eyes and she let's out a low warning growl. Alexander wades slightly deeper and I feel him set me into the water. I paddle as he told me too and I giggle he wades next to me as I swim a little. girls immediately flock to him.

he gets pushed from me and I watch a moment until my limbs begin to get heavy with my muscles being exhausted. I slowly start to sink but I force myself to stay afloat. I whimper and Alexander tries to fight through the hoard of girls to me. I struggle to swim upwards as I sink and I hold my breath. I accidentally suck in some water and I hit the bottom. I feel hands scoop me up just as darkness consumes me.

Stupid Girls over there! ;-;

She dead? NOPE. Not yet... or ever I believe lol.

Who saved her if he was flocked by girls? Mira? one of the twins? a stranger? WHO? lol
