Chapter 4, He... Hurt Me?

I wake up to someone prodding my cheek. confused a moment I glance at who was poking me. the man smiles and I blink. "You must've dozed off, Silly." he says with a cheeky grin. I tilt my head slightly and he lifts me into his arms. "I must make you... something delicious!" he calls pointing upwards like a madman. I giggle softly and I huddle into his chest. "One day, i'll have to brand you as our pack, so my men will stop acting as if you're a rogue." he says. I frown slightly but I shrug.

I noticed I was wearing a sweater and jeans that fit me and I frown confused. "The Beta's mate changed you." he says. "Oh..." I murmur. his grip tightens on me as crashes and booms echo from downstairs. he hurries down to see an all out brawl with men attacking at each other. I huddle deeper into the man's arms and I hear the man growl deeply. "Enough!" his voice booms in an alpha command, somehow I wasn't fazed by it. the men froze and they slowly look in our direction.

I was trembling and the man keeps me close. "What is the meaning of this!?" the man demands making them bow their heads in submission. "H-he threatened t-to take my l-life alpha." one of the two men stutters. he was tall, lanky but well built and had deeply tanned skin, Deep blue eyes, and light blonde hair that was cropped close to his head. he had a long jagged scar from his chin to his cheek bone and I blink. the other man was tall also with bulging muscles, lightly tanned skin, forest green eyes, and a three small scars from his jaw to his left ear. they were studying me with interest. "Alpha. Who's the rogue?" they ask simultaneously.

the man let's out a low growl and they cower back. "River, is future daughter of myself. You will not be calling her rogue!" the man snarls. "Y-yes sir." they say before dashing off. "Blue eyed man is Timothy, Tim for short, and the green eyed man is William." the man says sensing my curiosity as he sets me onto a white marble counter. I watch as he gets out ingredients and I tilt my head. he mixes pancake batter and sends me a small smile. he pours some batter in and he waits for it to cook.

 "River, I plan on making you pack two days from now. will that be okay?" he asks. I nod and he flips his pancake only to see it burnt. I giggle at his confused expression. "What's so funny?" he whines causing me to giggle more. I watch as he tosses the burnt one away and I eye the pancake as he put another puddle of batter on it. after a minute or so I tilt my head. "Flip it." I say. he does glancing at me only to gape at the perfectly colored flapjack.

A while later enough pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon were made for the whole pack, which was up to three hundred living in the house and a few thousand spread around the land in cottages and other lands in homes. he hand me a plate with only one pancake, a small scoop of eggs, two sausages and one piece of bacon. I manage to eat some of it but not all of it. I give it to the man who practically inhales it and I watch him with a small giggle.

Then he stares at my arm fury in his eyes. I look down only to see on of my many ugly scars showing partly. he grabs my wrist seething and I flinch back but he doesn't seem to notice. he pulls my sleeve up to my shoulder and his hand squeezes my arm tightly making me whimper. his eyes shift black and I let out another small whimper. "Y-you're h-hurting m-me." I whimper. "Who did this?" he demands. I flinch back and he throws me into a wall not waiting for an answer and I grimace as my shoulder dislocates.

 the door opens to reveal a young woman looking confused. The man was pacing eyes black with fury. the woman looks at him then to me and her eyes widen. she scoops me up gently and I let out a small whimper as she sets my shoulder back. "Alpha! Stop, You've hurt this poor girl!" the woman seethes. The man spins to face her and once his eyes find me his eyes wash to their normal color with shock and sorrow. the woman glares at the man anger evident in her gaze.

Ahh, Yawning so much... Last chapter until a while everyone. its 3:03 and I'm tired.
