Chapter 10, Safe but broken

Howls echo down the halls and Mike holds me tight despite him bleeding. I whimper and Mike lays a kiss upon my hair. "All will be well." he whispers. suddenly a howl of victory echoes from above and Mikes eye glaze over a second before clearing and he grins. "We're free." he says. "But what about Jones, Lucy, Max, Harold, Jillian, Alexis, Ian, Alice, Andrew, Harper, Drake, and the others?" i ask. "They'll be set free too." Mike says. cheers erupt from everyone and feet storm down the stairs and the door opens with a loud bang. whispers and shocked gasps fill the room. "Alpha Alexander!" a man gasps. a moment later our door opens and two men including alpha Alexander enters.

 i stare at them with shock and his eyes go wide. "Help Mike to the Pack house." alpha  Alexander demands. the two men lift Mike from the ground and i watch as they help him out. Alpha Alexander sweeps me from the ground and i rest my head against his chest. "Can you let the others out?" i ask after a moment. "Yeah, they are already being freed by my men." he says. he carries me out and i see many prisoners in a line.

Some wave at me others smile. Alpha Alexander gently lays his finger upon one of my new bruises gently and i wince. he sighs and carries me up some stairs. we enter the main room where guards were. "I killed your Alpha! You have the choice to join my pack or go rogue!" Alexander says. some dash out and others stay heads bowed in submission.

"Come on, we shall head to the pack house." Alexander says. he sets me down. "Get on my back when i shift okay?" He asks. i nod after a moment and I turn away as he peels out of clothes. i hear the crack of bones and a wet nose touches my hand. i  jump slightly and i turn. Alexander's wolf was huge, bigger than Alpha Jonas' wolf. he lowers himself but i tilt my head. Everyone else was gone and I can see confusion in his eyes. he trots into a cell and shifts he comes back out wearing his pants. "Why wouldn't you get on?" he asks. hesitantly i shrug. He crouches in front of me as i look down. when he reaches towards me I flinch back and hurt was in his eyes. "I won't hurt you, Why are you afraid?" he asks softly.

I just look down. He grabs my chin gently and looks into my eyes,  a moment he tilts his head. "River, I won't hurt you... Why would you think i would hurt you?" he asks studying me. then he spots the fresh blood and he stiffens. "He did this? he... he was the one that did this?" he asks softly, there was shock in his eyes, and horror in his voice. slowly i nod and he sighs. "I'll get you to the pack doctor, don't worry, just stay on my back okay?" he asks. i nod and he shifts in the cells clothes in his jaw. he lowers down and i hesitate before getting on. i hold tightly to his fur and he leaps forward in a run. within minutes we were at the front of the pack house.

He slips behind a tree once I'm on the ground and he comes out clothed in his pants. he takes my hand hesitantly and pulls me after him. I felt dull, frightened of everything. I didn't want to talk or play, smile or scowl, I wanted to sleep in a bed, with food in my belly and my eyes closed against reality. "Come on River, let's get you cleaned up." Alexander says. He pulls me to an elevator which i just noticed and presses a button. the doors slide shut and he hold me to him as it starts, My stomach felt as if it were in my feet, and my heart where my stomach was. After a while the doors open and he leads me out. as he walks into a room I nearly gasp.

The room was huge, had dark blue walls, white trims, dark mahogany wood doors, a large king sized bed, a TV, computer desk, chair, Anything you could think of. he leads me through the room to one of the doors and opens it showing a huge bathroom. it was all white, except for the counters which were sky blue marble, and Dark mahogany wood. he sets up a bath setting me on the counter.

Finished watching Hobbit #1, now onto #2
